Domaine de Vedilhan |
Pays d'Oc Viognier |
Spicy nose with plenty of herbs, smoked tarragon, dried nectarines, apricots and stones. Full-bodied and supple on the palate with some Mediterranean herbs and spices that linger in the nicely phenolic finish. Some bitter spices and almonds to close. Delicious now. Screw cap. |

Col Vetoraz |
Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze |
The Col Vetoraz 2021 Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Dry is creamy and soft with sweet peach and melon. The wine's residual sugar is recorded at 24 grams per liter, and that's definitely high enough to register as a "medium dry" or "almost fully sweet" sparkling wine. However, that softness is what makes Cartizze so special and sensual with creamy beading and immediate aromas. Production is limited to 6,508 bottles. |

Cotes du Crows' Monterey |
This is a smashing deal every vintage, and this year’s blend of 58% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 4% Mourvèdre and 3% Tempranillo doesn’t disappoint. Fresh but savory aromas of roasted red fruit and baking spice drop into a tightly wound palate of snappy red currant and light pepper that rides a zippy acidity through the finish. Editors’ Choice. |

Red Blend 'Bear Cub' Columbia Valley |
This is no “baby”: This bold, rich Cabernet Sauvignon-driven blend has grown-up elegance, from its aromas of dewberries, dark raspberries, saline and rose petals, to its Mikhail Baryshnikov-like balance. In between, look for flavors of blackberry fruit jellies, thyme and dark chocolate. Editors’ Choice. |

Pinot Grigio Organic Terre Siciliane |
Summery notes of bike tires and pavement mix with lemon-lime soda and slices of fresh honeydew on the nose of this wine. The palate has more sweet lemon-lime flavors but also citrus pith, green apple and more melon, made snappy with acid. Best Buy. |
