Duplessis Chablis |
1er Cru Fourchaume |
The 2022 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru has a more flinty bouquet than the Mont de Milieu, a little stern at first, then opening with hints of almond and Paris Bresse. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation, impressive weight and density, very cohesive and poised towards the finish. This is a very impressive, very delicious Fourchaume. |

Château Montus |
Madiran |
The 2019 Chateau Montus demonstrates this property’s evolving style, exhibiting more density and seriousness without more extraction than its 2016 counterparts. It offers up aromas of loamy soils, blueberries, mulberries, spices and pencil lead, followed by a round, enveloping, charming palate with a layered core of fruit and a long, velvety and penetrating finish. This blend, consisting of 80% Tannat and 20% Cabernet Franc, showcases the roundness and fleshiness of clay soils. Keep it over the next decade and beyond. |

Graciano 'Lagrimas de Bhilar' |
David Sampedro likes to pick his Graciano before his Tempranillo because "it doesn't like the sun". Fermented in concrete before aging in foudres, it has appealing sage and oregano aromas, lots of acidity, spicy tannins and a green, herbal finish that's reminiscent of a Maturana Tinta. 2024-29 |

Garnacha 'Phinca El Vedao' |
Much fresher and more elegant than the more evolved 2019, this is a a serious, well structured Garnacha from 35 to 60-year-old vineyards in Elvillar and Kripan. Earthy, racy and slightly chalky, it has bramble, plum and red berry flavours, some clove notes from added stems, fine tannins and a lingering finish. 2026-37 |

Garnacha 'Phinca El Vedao' |
The 2020 Phinca El Vedao was produced with Garnacha grapes from the place that names the wine, in the village of Elvillar. It fermented in a 2,000-liter concrete vat and matured in 500-liter French oak barrels for 30 months. It has a moderate 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.3 and 6.25 grams of acidity. It has a very balsamic nose reminiscent of a vermouth or a Barolo Chinato, with abundant sweet spices and aromatic herbs, intermixed with wild berry fruit. The palate reveals abundant, fine-grained, chalky tannins and a long, dry, clean and balsamic finish. 1,824 bottles were filled in September 2024. |
