2022 Decibel Malbec Nouveau ‘Giunta’ Charming and brightly expressed, it's delightfully fragrant on the nose with sweet plum, violet, thyme and subtle spice aromas, leading to a juicy palate that's finely textured and lingering. 2022 Domaine du Pegau Cotes du Rhone Rouge 'Cuvee Maclura' Still in tank last summer, the 2022 Cotes du Rhone Cuvee Maclura boasts charming layers of blueberries, raspberries and black cherries. A blend of approximately 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% each Cinsault and Mourvèdre, it's full-bodied and nicely concentrated, with a taut feel on the palate and a long, dusty finish. 2022 Ocampo Listan Blanco The 2022 Listán Blanco was produced with grapes from growers in the zone of Acentejo at 550 to 750 meters above sea level. It fermented in 1,500-liter oak foudres and 500-liter barrels, where it matured with lees for 10 months. It has a shy nose, clean and with the oak neatly integrated, despite the fact that this first year all the oak was new. It's medium-bodied with a chalky mouthfeel and good balance. 3,330 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2023. Wine Advocate 91 2025-02-19
2022 Ocampo Vijariego The red 2022 Vijariego Negro was produced with grapes from their own vines. It fermented with 30% full clusters in concrete and matured in 1,500-liter oak foudre and 500-liter oak barrels for 10 months. The reds have a creamy profile, as all the wood was new in 2022. It has more black than red fruit, different from the Vijariego elsewhere. It has plenty of tannins, more than usual (at least in other zones) that are going to require time in bottle. In future vintages, the oak should be less marked. 2,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2023. Wine Advocate 90 2025-02-19
2022 Ocampo Vidueno Blanco The 2022 Vidueño is a white blend produced with Marmajuelo, Malvasía Aromática, Albillo Criollo and Listán Blanco from 25-year-old trellised vines. The grapes fermented in a 1,500-liter oak foudre, where the wine matured with lees for 10 months. It's clean and fruit-driven, moderately aromatic (from the Marmajuelo) with a moderate degree of alcohol (12.5%) and a saline twist in the finish. The profile is not unlike some Godello from Valdeorras. 1,890 bottles were filled in June 2023. Wine Advocate 92 2025-02-19
2022 Ocampo Listan Negro The 2022 Listán Negro is a new red produced with grapes purchased from local growers. It fermented with 20% full clusters in concrete and matured 60% in concrete and the rest in 500-liter barrels for 10 months. The Listán in the zone tends to show more herbal notes that are intermixed with the spicy, smoky and creamy notes from the wood (all new in 2022, the first vintage for this new range). It has some tannins that need to be polished. For winemaker Jonatan García, Listán produced like this needs three years in bottle to polish the tannins. 3,300 bottles produced. 2018 Henners Blanc de Blancs The 2018 Brut Blanc de Blancs spent over 36 months on lees. It opens with a nose full of the savor and brightness of white summer berries and fruit framed with lemon. The palate reveals the fullness of the 2018 vintage, with generous fruit that gives this light-footed Chardonnay exquisite ripeness. Frothy fine bubbles enhance the freshness and reveal a subtle chalkiness. This is bright, refreshing and beautifully long. (Lot: 42732) Vinous 91 2025-02-11
2018 Henners Brut The 2018 Brut Vintage, a blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir, spent over three years on lees. It opens with the scent of green apples and leads into a creamier notion reminiscent of fresh apple crumble. The palate is exquisitely light and juicy, fragrant with apple and lemon and alive with foamy fine bubbles. 2018 Luigi Tecce Campania Rosso 'Puro Sangue' The 2018 Aglianico Puro Sangue R18 is hauntingly dark and perfumed, as a smoky blend of flowery underbrush and savory herbs gives way to steeped plums. It’s soft-textured and lifted in feel, showing the finesse of the vintage with brisk acidity and mineral-drenched red fruits that flow throughout. This finishes long yet surprisingly fresh, with a coating of gritty tannins that resonates without hindering the 2018’s lively persona. The Puro Sangue R18 is not to be missed.
