Labor of Love Cabernet Franc |
The 2015 Cabernet Franc Labor Of Love is gorgeous, and one of my favorites in the lineup. Cassis, spring flowers, distinct minerality, and hints of chocolate all emerge from this medium to full-bodied beauty. Possessing ripe, present tannin, a focused, elegant personality, and plenty of exuberance, it's going to drink nicely for 15+ years or more. |

Spare Me Cabernet Sauvignon |
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Spare Me offers more complexity in its spicy oak, dried flowers, cassis and currant-like aromas and flavors. ItÕs savorier on the palate, however, and while the tannin is polished, there's a dry edge. Nevertheless, it's beautifully balanced, has plenty of fruit and a great finish. Give it another year or two as well. |

Pinot Noir Kashaya Sonoma Coast |
Coming from a single vineyard in the northern part of the Fort Ross-Seaview region, the 2015 Pinot Noir Kashaya (aged 11 months in 46% new French oak) offers textbook mulberry/black raspberry fruit, lots of sappy herbs and rose garden nuances, medium-bodied richness, and a ripe, concentrated, yet balanced style on the palate. |

Petite Sirah Frediani Vinyard |
The inky purple-colored 2015 Petite Sirah Old Vines comes from vines planted in 1939 by Alfred Frediani, who still farms the property today. Aged 20 months in 50% new French oak and boasting fabulous notes of blueberries, blackberries, ground pepper, crushed rocks and graphite, this dense, full-bodied, unctuous effort is made in a pedal to the metal, blockbuster style, yet never seems heavy or over the top. 333 cases. |

Straight up classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, drink it over the coming 15-20 years. |

Cemetery Cabernet Sauvignon |
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Cemetery is a terrific wine from this vintage. Possessing notes of crème de cassis cedary oak, licorice, graphite and Acacia flowers, it nicely concentrated, fresh and focused on the palate, with terrific purity of fruit. It has notable tannin and a straight, slightly restrained style that’s going to benefit from short-term cellaring. Give bottled 2-3 years and enjoy over the following 15+. |

Front Man Merlot |
A more Merlot dominated cuvee that includes 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Merlot Front Man sports a deep ruby/purple color to go with a ripe, sexy, exuberant style on the palate. Currants, plums, black cherries, spicy oak and dried flower notes all flow from this medium to full-bodied, hedonistic beauty that does everything right. I don't think it's going to make the oldest of bones, but given its balance and purity, it might just surprise. |

Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Spring Mountain District |
Unquestionably the star of the show is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve which is all Spring Mountain fruit (95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc) aged 20 months in 33% new French oak. Blackcurrants, Asian spices, salty minerality, sandalwood, and loads of dark fruits emerge from this full-bodied, powerful, concentrated 2015 that’s going to keep for two decades. |

Ritual Heritage Blend |
A blend of 30% Grenache, 28% Mourvèdre, 18% Carignan,15% Syrah, and 9% Petite, the 2015 Ritual Heritage Blend comes from some seriously old vines and spent 20 months mostly in neutral oak. It’s awesome Rhône blend from California that gives up loads of darker berry fruits, ground pepper, lavender, incense and hints of cured meats. Deep, medium to full-bodied, elegant, and seamless, with fine-grained tannin, it’s a beauty that Rhône lovers shouldn’t miss. It has enough tannin to keep for 10-15 years. |
