2015	Aubichon	Pinot Noir	Bright red. Smoke-accented strawberry, cherry and blood orange scents show very good clarity and pick up subtle herb and licorice flourishes as the wine opens up. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry and red currant flavors and a sweetening hint of mocha. 2013	Mas d'en Gil	Coma Blanca	The top white is the 2013 Coma Blanca, which is a blend of grapes from four different plots planted with Macabeo and Garnacha Blanca from diverse soils (their property has incredibly varied soils, quite unusual for Priorat). It might be a tad lighter and less concentrated, with more acidity and freshness, but it's not a shy or wimpy white -- it packs 15% alcohol. It contains approximately half of each variety and it matured for six months in 500-liter French and Austrian oak barrels. The nose is subtle, with elegance and incipient complexity, even though it still feels very young. With time and air it starts showing some notes of fennel, more insinuating compared with the Coma Alta, which is more obvious. This has a superb balance and it should age nicely in bottle. It ends dry and with strong minerality. Again, this is (one of) the best vintage(s) for this wine. 2,761 bottles were produced and bottled in May 2014.	Wine Advocate	94		2018-01-31
2013	Mas d'en Gil	Coma Alta	The 2013 Coma Alta is pure Garnacha Blanca planted in 1999 in the Coma valley, one of the five valleys existing in the Mas d'en Gil estate, on clay and limestone soils. The grapes are harvested in two tries, the first one for freshness, and the second one for more ripeness. Thirty percent of the volume fermented in 500-liter French oak barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks where the wines matured for five months. I think the limestone translates into a serious profile and a sharp palate with an almost salty finish. The oak is very nicely folded into the wine and only adds some nice texture. This is a very elegant and fresh Garnacha Blanca from a very cool vintage that provided wines with good acidity. It feels like a great vintage of Coma Alta. There are 6,158 bottles produced. 2011	Mas d'en Gil	Clos Fonta	The 2011 Clos Fontà is a blend of different strains of Garnacha with some 30% Cariñena fermented in small oak vats by plot and matured in 225-liter barriques and 1,500-liter oak vats for some 14 months. These top wines are kept in bottle for three years before they are sold, and by that time the wines are polished, especially in the texture. There is a jump in complexity and depth from the Coma Vella from the same vintage, and the nose screams Priorat, with those notes of wet slate and some rusticity from the Cariñena. With time in the glass it also developed some floral aromas. The palate is powerful but very balanced and fresh, especially for the conditions of the vintage. I could also preview the 2014, which had just been bottled, and was showing superbly elegant. There are 7,868 bottles produced.	Wine Advocate	94		2018-01-31
