2019	Rocca di Castagnoli	Chianti Classico	Rocca di Castagnoli's 2019 Chianti Classico is supple, racy and wonderfully inviting. Succulent red cherry, tobacco, mint, dried flowers and licorice are some of the many aromas and flavors that open in the glass. 2017	Rocca di Castagnoli	Chianti Classico Riserva ‘Poggio a’ Frati’	The 2017 Chianti Classico Riserva Poggio a'Frati is a heady, expressive wine that is just showing a hint of its potential. More than anything else, I am impressed with the wine's energy and vibrancy, which was a bit hard to come by in 2017. Bright, saline notes lift a core of sweet red berry fruit, chalk, white pepper, mint, sage and dried flowers. The flavors are so vivid in this super eloquent Riserva from Rocca di Castagnoli. Powerful, ample and deep, the 2016 possesses tremendous density and textural richness from start to finish. As always, Rocca di Castagnoli presents a distinctly Tuscan expression of Cabernet. 2020	Foris	Riesling Rogue Valley	Finished dry but not tongue-scrapingly tart, this offers forward fruit flavors of peach and pear, showing more ripeness than the previous vintage.
