Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Tradition' |
Starting with the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape, this up-front, sweetly fruited, sexy beauty offers a vivid ruby/purple hue as well as loads of mulberry and strawberry fruits, notes of peppery garrigue and violets, medium to full body, ripe yet present tannins, wonderful purity, and a great finish. |

Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Tradition' |
Lots of ripe black cherries, peppery garrigue, black olive, and a subtle iodine and marine-like nuance emerge from the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape, a big, ripe, incredibly sexy classic cuvée that has full-bodied richness and no hard edges. It's for the Grenache lovers out there. |

Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Prestige' |
More kirsch, blackberries, ground pepper, new leather, and assorted spicy notes all emerge from the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Prestige, which is, as always, all Grenache. It's a touch richer and sexier than the classic cuvée, with perhaps a touch more mid-palate. Both wines are beautiful. |

Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Prestige' |
The 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Prestige (80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre) offers a more savory, spicy, Mourvèdre-dominated style in its savory red and darker fruits as well as spiced meat, leather, and loamy earth-like aromas and flavors. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and structured, it's going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and cruise for 10-15 years. |

Lornano |
Rosso Toscana 'Commendator Enrico' |
As always amazed, you can admire the visual rendering of a red of such power of nature. A champion of maximum concentration, opaque and impenetrable to the eye, as solid, textured to the touch of the tongue. Here, of grapes per vine, very little was collected, so that in each vine stem, all the sweet sap in it copiously circulating, in sparse hanging clusters, was forced to concentrate. Operation completed. Then in extraction almost all the tannin has been extracted from the skins: unfathomable color, tannically powerful taste. More pronounced persuasiveness on the nose, with spices, vanilla and mint, which dilute the billows, a little leathery of the tannin. But this is a great harmonious wine, and its fleshy strength expresses itself tastefully with a perfectly enveloping roundness. With a rusted and persuasive clarity from a very high executive enology. Its inviolate blackberry pulp then shines limpid and unforgettable sumptuously. Among the best Italian reds, chapeau. Nerello Mascalese 'Vurria' |
This is 100% Nerello Mascalese from vineyards in Sicily that are 1,600 feet in altitude. Purple in color, with some ruby swirls, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is nice with smoke, cherries, and black pepper. Medium to full bodied. Although there are firm tannins, this has an inviting soft texture. Good acidity. The palate has cherries, black cherries over a char. Very concentrated. Long finish. This is drinking well now and should continue for another ten to fifteen years. It will work better with food such as sword fish served as Involtini di pesce spade. Grade: A- |

Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Prestige' |
Limpid ruby-red. Highly perfumed black raspberry and cherry liqueur aromas are complemented by floral and baking spice nuances and a smoky mineral note. Juicy and appealingly sweet, displaying intense red and blue fruit and lavender pastille flavors and smooth, seamless texture. Deftly balances richness and vivacity and finishes impressively long and spicy, with smooth, harmonious tannins and an echo of candied flowers. |

Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Tradition' |
Bright ruby-red. Red and dark berry, exotic spice and floral qualities on the expressive, mineral-accented nose. Juicy and precise, offering appealingly sweet cherry, raspberry and red currant flavors and a refreshingly bitter rhubarb flourish. Turns sweeter as it opens up and puts on weight as well, with no loss of energy. Discreet tannins frame a long, smooth finish that strongly echoes the red fruit and spice notes. There's noteworthy elegance here, both for the vintage and for an entry-level bottling. |
