California
Pinot Noir
With its moderate climate, and diverse terroir, the state of California offers many distinct AVAs. Simple Life wines are sourced throughout California's prime grape growing regions. The "Golden State" is known for its abundant sunshine which helps to ensure a reliable extended growing season. The core of this wine was crafted around the Pommard Clone 4, which has clusters about half of the size of a clenched fist with bright fruit concentration and fresh raspberry flavors.
California boasts nearly 100 American Viticulture Areas (AVAs), that encompass over a half million acres of vineyards, supporting a diverse varietal mix. Pinot Noir, a cool climate varietal, thrives in the fog-bathed coastal vineyard sites.

The majority of the Pinot Noir fruit comes from the Clarksburg region. The grapes were fermented in a combination of oak as well as stainless steel tank to retain the bright, fresh fruit character.

Cranberry red color in the glass with aromas of plummy fruit, ripe strawberry and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied with a velvety texture and well-integrated tannins. The juicy fruit-forward palate offers flavors of tart cherry, pomegranate, sweet vanilla oak and very subtle spice. The combination of juicy fruit and nuanced oak make for a balanced, easy-drinking wine.
