Viticulture

The majority of the Cabernet Sauvignon fruit comes from the Clarksburg region of California with additional Cabernet Sauvignon coming from the Schatz and Mettler Family vineyards of Lodi. With its moderate climate, and diverse terroir, the state of California offers many distinct AVAs. Simple Life wines are sourced throughout California’s prime grape growing regions. The "Golden State" is known for its abundant sunshine which helps to ensure a reliable extended growing season.

Terroir

California boasts nearly 100 American Viticluture Areas (AVAs), that encompass over a half million acres of vineyards, supporting a divers varietal mix. Being a hearty, heat-loving varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in the warmer inland valleys of the state.
