2019 Morgan G17 Syrah Plump and zesty, with shades of cherry and red plum, spice and sassafras accents and refined tannins on the finish. Drink now through 2028. Wine Spectator 90 2023-02-17
2021 Morgan Chardonnay 'Highland' Santa Lucia Highlands There’s a compelling combination of precision and depth on this bottling. Aromas of lemon glaze, thinly sliced Asian pear and crushed oyster shell lead into an acid-driven palate, where rounded flavors of pear, honeysuckle and celery cling to a firm, exciting structure. 2020 Morgan Chardonnay 'Double L Vineyard' Santa Lucia Highlands You may have read previously of my preference for partial malolactic fermentation in Chardonnay, and while that’s a general way that I bend, if the fruit is picked at the right time “full malo” can work just fine, serving to tame the acid without going into the butter/greasy zone. Such is the case here, with rich lemon creme and tropical notes riding a creamy texture that finishes crisp with a mix of moderate oak toast and lemon zest. Morgan keeps turning out the hits. 2020 Morgan Chardonnay 'Double L Vineyard' Santa Lucia Highlands A stunning Chardonnay from the Double L Vineyard that is aged for 9 months in 31% new French oak barrels. It’s a ripe, textured, and wonderfully balanced Chardonnay exploding with plenty of salted citrus, fresh pineapple, Honeydew melon, sweet cinnamon stick, and toasted almond characteristics and shows a classic, cultivated style of the 2020 vintage as well as typical fruit-forward characteristics that you find from the Santa Lucia Highlands. 398 cases produced. NV Ca' Furlan Prosecco Extra-Dry 'Cuvée Beatrice' For the price, this wine is a damn success. It hits all the right notes for a DOC Prosecco. The nose has slight floral aromas with a hint of poached apples. The palate is very refreshing, with casual bubbles and great balanced fruit. You could trick some folks into thinking it costs more. 2018 Domaine Vauroux Chablis Grand Cru Bougros Perfumed and elegant, this Bougros shows plenty of promise. Flavor of candied pear, fresh apricot, citrus pith, white flowers and rainwater, with a soft stony mineral finish. Drink now. Wine Enthusiast 90 2023-02-13
2019 Domaine Vauroux Chablis 1er Cru Montmains This wine is energetic, underpinned with lively acidity that beautifully elevates the palate of fresh ripe citrus and red apple with a floral perfume of dandelion and white rose. Its fine saline, chalky and earthy mushroom finish leave the palate yearning for another immediate sip. Wine Enthusiast 92 2023-02-13
2020 Heartland Spice Trader' Shiraz Langhorne Creek The name of this wine says it all: this is a highly spicy, minty Cab, with heady notes of cinnamon gum and black-cherry cordial. It never quite finds the depth or power to integrate such bold flavors, though, resulting in the vinous equivalent of nana wearing too much perfume. Best Buy. Wine Enthusiast Best Buy 2023-02-13
2022 Lobster Reef Sauvignon Blanc A nose led by lemon-lime and passion fruit—and backed by some grassy, bell pepper notes—leads to a palate that’s crisp, clean and refreshing. It’s straightforward, easy-drinking drop. Best Buy. Wine Enthusiast Best Buy 2023-02-13
