2016 Dunham Cellars Trutina Columbia Valley Refined and expressive, with floral blackberry, orange peel and tobacco notes that build tension toward polished tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2024. Wine Spectator 90 2019-09-25
2014 Domaine du Pegau Cuvee Laurence Chateauneuf-du-Pape Burly in feel, with maturity to the notes of chestnut, mushroom, warm brick, dried sage and tobacco leaf that hold sway over the core of dried currant and cherry fruit flavors. The finish is streaked with cedar hints. Hamstrung a bit by this cool and wet vintage, the fruit doesn't quite keep pace with the earth and herb elements, but fans of the rugged, old-school style will appreciate this. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2030. 750 cases made. Wine Spectator 91 2019-09-20
2016 Domaine du Moulin Vielles Vignes A wood-aged wine with toast and spice as well as plenty of black-fruit flavors, this is still young. Tannins and acidity are prominent, demanding more time for aging. Drink this balanced wine from 2021. Wine Enthusiast 90 2019-09-19

It’s luscious but freshly balanced. It drinks beautifully now but should hold through 2024. Wine Enthusiast 92 2019-09-19
2018 Commanderie de la Bargemone Rose Coteaux d'Aix en Provence The 2018 Coteaux D'Aix En Provence Rosé is also terrific. Based on Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cinsault, and Vermin, it has clean, crisp notes of white peach, salty minerality, and white flowers as well as a medium-bodied, balanced, chiseled style on the palate. 2017 Landmark Vineyards Overlook Pinot Noir This blend of Pinot Noir from Monterey County (65%), Santa Barbara County (18%) and Sonoma County (17%) begins with aromas of boy-senberry, dried lilac and turned earth on the nose. There is a focused intensity on the palate, with more berry flavors as well as pie crust, loamy earth and a pinch of mint. Wine Enthusiast 91 2019-09-16
2017 Domaine Cabirau Serge & Nicolas Maury Sec A smaller production cuvée, the 2017 Maury Sec Serge & Marie checks in as 70% Grenache, 20% Carignan, and 10% Syrah that was brought up in a mix of foudre and used barrels. It's also the first vintage for new winemaker Marie Verges as well as the first vintage to ever see small barrels, which were purchased from Guigal in the Northern Rhône. Deep purple-colored with a smoky, meaty bouquet of black fruits, licorice, crushed rocks, and black olives, it’s rich, full-bodied, beautifully textured, and layered on the palate, with ripe tannins. This fleshy, expansive barrel sample has tons of potential. Jeb Dunnuck 92-94 2019-09-16
