2018	Arrumaco	Garnacha Rosado	Based all on Garnacha brought up in stainless steel, the 2018 Garnacha Rosado is a rounded, juicy, delicious rosé loaded with notions of ripe strawberries and white flowers. 2016	Bodegas Ordonez	Zerran	A tiny production cuvée (there are less than 2,000 cases), the 2016 Zerran is a blend of 50% Garnacha, 40% Cariñena, and 10% Syrah brought up in used French oak. It has beautiful currants and raspberry fruit notes as well as plenty of minerality, ground pepper, and violets. 2017	Bodegas Ordonez	Nisia Las Suertes Verdejo	Coming from a single vineyard planted in 1885 in pure sand soils, the 2017 Nisia Las Suertes (100% Verdejo) was barrel fermented and spent 10 month on lees. It offers a rocking bouquet of pineapple, tangerines, and spice that develops beautifully with time in the glass. 2016	Bodegas Y Vinedos Ilurce	Rio Mazos	An old vine selection based on 100% Graciano, the 2016 Rio Mazos was completely destemmed and brought up in 50% new oak. This inky colored effort has a rich, smoky bouquet of blackberries, spicy oak, cedary spice, and violets. With beautiful fruit, plenty of classy integrated oak, full body, a terrific texture, and ripe tannins, it's a beautiful, layered, singular Rioja that’s loaded with character. 2017	Bodegas Y Vinedos Ilurce	Rio Madre Graciano	Made from 100% Graciano, the deeply colored 2017 Rio Madre Graciano offers a great bouquet of ripe black fruits, ground pepper, game, and hints of violets. 2018	Bodegas Y Vinedos Ilurce	Rio Madre Rose	The 2018 Rio Madre Rosé is all Garnacha and has a vivid raspberry color as well as a powerful bouquet of ripe strawberries, cherries, violets, and spice. 2014	Ramirez de la Piscina	Reserva	The 2014 Reserva is all Tempranillo that spent 15 months in French and American oak. It has a great nose of blackberries, spice box, vanilla, and licorice. 2014	Ramirez de la Piscina	Seleccion Reserva	The 2014 Selección Reserva is a solid step up over the 2015 and offers more intensity and complexity in its black cherry, currants, smoked earth, graphite, and spice-driven aromas and flavors. 2015	Ramirez de la Piscina	Seleccion Reserva	The 2015 Selección Reserva is in the same mold as the 2014 and has more richness and depth, with rocking notes of blackberries, plums, graphite, licorice, lead pencil, and incense. 2011	Ramirez de la Piscina	Gran Reserva	The 2011 Gran Reserva is all Tempranillo spent a full two years in American and French oak. This deeply colored effort offers terrific smoky dark fruits, leather, graphite, and some cigar notes. It's rich, medium to full-bodied, has beautiful density, building tannins, and a great finish.
