2017	Beauchene	Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Grande Reserve'	Bitter notes of dried underbrush and hazelnut skin contrast penetrating wild strawberry and cherry preserves. Matured 18 months in neutral oak and stainless steel, it’s a rich, opulent blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. 2018	Koyama	Pinot Noir	The Koyama Pinots are classy wines, meticulously made while still allowing the character of the site and variety to shine. The nose is gently aromatic in notes of cranberry, raspberry, rhubarb, with quiet baking spice and savory elements typical to the region. The bright acidity is what first hits on the palate, but then the silky texture, fleshy red fruit and savory spice comes into focus. The tannins are chalky and supportive, rather than overwhelming.
