2010 Mas d'En Gil Bellmunt Vi de Vila' (60% garnacha, 20% carinena and 20% cabernet sauvignon): Opaque ruby. Aromas of cherry, blackberry and peppery spices, plus a smoky topnote and a hint of minerality. Lively and subtly sweet, with bitter cherry and dark fruit flavors picking up a suave floral nuance with air. 2009 Mas d'En Gil Clos Fontà Vinyes Velles' (40% garnacha peluda, 30% garnacha and 30% carinena): Inky ruby. Sexy blackberry, cola and floral pastille aromas display very good energy and pick up a mineral nuance with air. Round and fleshy on the palate, offering gently sweet dark berry and spicecake flavors lifted by a mineral element. At once rich and lively, showing a silky texture and excellent depth. 2018 Domaine du Pegau Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Cuvee Reserve' The 2018 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée Réservée is full-bodied but quite approachable and easy to drink, loaded with black cherries and plummy fruit and tinged with licorice.
