Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley |
Bold and juicy, Keenan's 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is super-expressive today. Dark cherry, plum, grilled herbs, mocha, spice and licorice are all front and center. The 2018 is deep and fleshy yet retains a classic, mid-weight feel that works so well. Drink it over the next decade. |

Cabernet Sauvignon 'Reserve' Spring Mountain District |
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is such a great example of Spring Mountain. Powerful and virile, the classically-built Reserve packs a serious punch. I would give it a few years to soften, but it is super-impressive, even in the early going. Crushed red berry fruit, iron, dried flowers, mint and spice lead into the long, sculpted finish. |

Cabernet Franc Spring Mountain District |
The 2018 Cabernet Franc Upper Bowl Vineyard is effusive and soaring in the glass. Crushed red berry, mocha, wild herbs, cinnamon and blood orange lend an exotic air to the 2018 that is impossible to miss. The same can be said for the way the 2018 delivers so much fruit intensity without heaviness. It is such a gorgeous wine. |

Chinon 'Tradition' |
Beautiful black cherry stone and cherry skin fruit, pure and defined. A brilliant entry-level Chinon, showing just a lick of tannin alongside stunning fruit purity and a hint of herby texture. |

Cornas Les Vieilles Vignes |
Dark and winey, with lots of steeped black cherry, plum and blackberry fruit forming the core while light sweet tapenade, rosemary and mineral notes streak through on the finish. Vivid, energetic Cornas. Best from 2022 through 2036. |

Cornas Les Chailles |
Very racy, focused version with a bright violet note leading the way for damson plum and red cherry coulis notes. Light white pepper and chalk hints emerge on the finish. Best from 2023 through 2033. |

Bellmunt Vi de Vila' |
The Mediterranean village red 2017 Bellmunt follows the path toward elegance and balance from the 2016. This blend of 60% Garnacha, 30% Cariñena and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the youngest vineyards and often from deeper soils, which deliver sweet and fresh fruit-driven reds. Each plot ferments separately in stainless steel with natural yeasts, and malolactic is carried out in the underground concrete pools, after which the wines are blended and matured in concrete (30%) and the rest in 1,500- and 3,000-liter oak vats. It's juicy and has very fine tannins that provide a silky texture, nice balance and a fresh finish. They always keep the wines in bottle before they are released, even 10 months for this, their youngest red. It was bottled in May 2019. |

Coma Alta' |
The single-vineyard white 2017 Coma Alta comes from the La Coma Valley, one of the five valleys within the property and one of the healthiest because of the southeast Garbinada winds. The plot of barely one hectare was planted in 2000 on clay and limestone soils and is harvested early to keep good acidity, as Garnacha Blanca can have a tendency toward opulence. This vineyard has been farmed biodynamically since 2010, and the wine was partially fermented in barrel (30%). But for the last 10 years, they have strived to avoid too much oak in the wines, and this comes through as vertical and fresh within its powerful and Mediterranean profile. It has volume and very good acidity, coming through as dry and tasty, with an almost salty twist in the finish. 2,967 bottles were filled in May 2018. The wine feels young and undeveloped, with years ahead of it. |

Clos Fonta Vinyes Velles' |
I think there is a jump in finesse and precision in the 2015 Clos Fontà, their old-vine red produced with a selection of the best old vines every vintage. It's 60% Garnacha and 40% Cariñena from 50- to 95-year-old vines mostly on llicorella slate soils but also some on limestone, on 30% to 40% slopes that are facing east. It fermented in 500- and 1,500-liter oak vats, as each plot is fermented separately with indigenous yeasts; the wines were blended after malolactic in their old underground concrete pools. It matured in French and Austrian 225-liter barriques and 1,500-liter oak vats for one year. It has notes of licorice and fennel, so typical from this part of Priorat, giving it a very Mediterranean profile, and it's spicy and earthy, with ripe fruit but without excess. The palate is medium to full-bodied and reveals abundant, fine-grained tannins and a nice combination of elegance and rusticity. Again, very Priorat but without the excesses from the past. 5,868 bottles were filled in May 2017. |

Coma Vella' |
The red blend 2015 Coma Vella is a blend of 70% Garnacha Peluda and Garnacha del País, 20% Cariñena and 10% Syrah from vines planted between 1965 and 1998 on classical sloped llicorella slate soils except the Syrah, which is on limestone soils. They used 10% to 20% full clusters for the fermentation in stainless steel and oak vats with indigenous yeasts. It matured for one year in a combination of 225-liter barrels and 1,500- and 3,000-liter oak vats with only 15% to 20% new oak. The wine shows contained ripeness, showcasing the style of the south of Priorat, and it's spicy and a little earthy. It has a medium to full-bodied palate and some dusty tannins without the finesse of the newest reds. 35,658 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2016. |
