2018 Koyama Pinot Noir The Koyama Pinots are classy wines, meticulously made while still allowing the character of the site and variety to shine. The nose is gently aromatic in notes of cranberry, raspberry, rhubarb, with quiet baking spice and savory elements typical to the region. The bright acidity is what first hits on the palate, but then the silky texture, fleshy red fruit and savory spice comes into focus. The tannins are chalky and supportive, rather than overwhelming. Drink now–2030. Wine Enthusiast 92 2021-01-22
2019 Morgan Unoaked Chardonnay 'Metallico' Monterey Rounded aromas of Asian pear and soft peach are cut by sharp grapefruit pith and chalk on the vibrant and very fresh nose of this stainless-steel expression. The palate is very grippy in texture at first, slowly giving way to the more broad stone-fruit flavors. Wine Enthusiast 93 2021-01-22
2018 Morgan Pinot Noir 'Twelve Clones' Santa Lucia Highlands Layers of baked berry, pie crust and star anise show on the nose of this clonal combination. It’s clean and direct on the palate, offering tart red-currant and cranberry flavors, touched up by thyme, lavender and potpourri elements. Wine Enthusiast 92 2021-01-22
2017 Pursued by Bear Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley This wine is hedonism in a glass. Dark chocolate, cherry, vanilla and spice aromas are followed by rich, textured fruit flavors that coat the palate. It’s decadent, but the vintage’s backbone keeps it all beautifully in balance. Editors’ Choice. Wine Enthusiast 92 2021-01-22
2018 Castaing Cotes de Bourg Under the same ownership as Château Haut-Guiraud, this estate has produced a wood-aged wine that’s rich in dark spicy fruit and ripe tannins. Dense structure shows the wine’s potential as well as its concentration. Drink from 2022. Wine Enthusiast 90 2021-01-22
2019 Avia Pinot Grigio Lifted fresh nose full of peachy fruit with delicious green apple depth, a salty finish, concentrated fruit and mineral backbone. Silver Medal Decanter 90 2021-01-22
2016 Domaine Alain Voge Saint-Peray Fleur de Crussol Sourced from vines averaging 80 years old, this rich, intensely textural Marsanne offers an intensity of white peach, pear and tangerine flavors. Vinified in 30% new oak, it’s lavishly smoky with a spicy undertone reminiscent of vanilla and Bourbon barrels. A heady but elegant wine that should improve through 2026 and hold further still. Editors’ Choice Wine Enthusiast 94 2021-01-20
2017 Domaine Alain Voge Saint-Peray Fleur de Crussol Voluminous and sun-drenched, this delightful varietal Marsanne offers luminous tangerine, yellow apple and pineapple flavors accented by swirls of honey. Sourced from 80-year-old vines and fermented in oak (30% new), it’s a gorgeously perfumed sip lifted by a spine of salty, crystalline minerality and lemony acidity. Drinks beautifully now but should mature nicely well through 2030. Editors’ Choice Wine Enthusiast 94 2021-01-20
2018 Keenan Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Bold and juicy, Keenan's 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is super-expressive today. Dark cherry, plum, grilled herbs, mocha, spice and licorice are all front and center. The 2018 is deep and fleshy yet retains a classic, mid-weight feel that works so well. Drink it over the next decade. Vinous 93 2021-01-14
2018 Keenan Cabernet Sauvignon 'Reserve' Spring Mountain District The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is such a great example of Spring Mountain. Powerful and virile, the classically-built Reserve packs a serious punch. I would give it a few years to soften, but it is super-impressive, even in the early going. Crushed red berry fruit, iron, dried flowers, mint and spice lead into the long, sculpted finish. Vinous 96 2021-01-14
