2019 La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino 'Fiore di NO' Maturing mid ruby with orange tinges. Lively, concentrated raspberry and amarena-cherry nose. Elegant raspberry and cherry palate that seems much lighter than its stated 15%. Supple and suave with lots of underlying grainy tannins. Can be approached, but with a couple of years in bottle should reveal more. Jancis Robinson 17 2023-12-27
2019 La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino Lustrous ruby with bricky rim. Dramatic, deep, concentrated nose with an exotic spice note from oak, but perfectly integrated. Succulent, deep, polished marasca cherry on the palate with deep, chalky tannins. Immense length and concentration, but balanced at the same time. Still needs to lose it intense fruit sweetness, but I can imagine some would tuck in right now and enjoy its voluptuousness. Jancis Robinson 17+ 2023-12-27
2019 Glaetzer Shiraz 'Amon Ra' The 2019 Amon Ra Shiraz is 100% Shiraz and 100% from the 2019 vintage, as Ben Glaetzer felt it—unlike many previous vintages—didn't need to be freshened with a small proportion of younger wine. From old vines in the Ebenezer district of the northern Barossa Valley, it offers classic notes of blackberries and spice, framed by hints of cedar and vanilla (it's aged in 100% new oak hogsheads, mostly French). It's full-bodied yet crisp, supple but tight and really long. Offering lovely dark fruit, hints of espresso and black olive, it finishes mouthwatering and firm. Give it some time in the cellar and drink it from 2025 – 2040. Wine Advocate 96+ 2023-12-26
2020 Dunham Red Blend 'Trutina' Columbia Valley Dunham’s Trutina has been overdelivering as long as the wine has been made. This is just another example. A blend of 53% Merlot and 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, aromas of coffee, dried herb, vanilla, toast, anise, and plum are followed by somewhat svelte-seeming black fruit flavors, with plentiful barrel accents. The tannins are polished to a fine sheen. Fruit and barrel notes intertwine on the finish. 13.9% alcohol. Natural cork. 7,275 cases produced. Washington Wine Report 91 2023-12-20
2022 Col Vetoraz Valdobbiadene Prosecco Brut A fresh blend of white flowers, mint leaf and crushed yellow apples wafts up from the 2022 Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco. It’s creamy and round with a core of brilliant acidity and saline minerals that balance its ripe orchard fruits. This cleans up beautifully through the perfumed finale. Candied citrus notes create lovely punctuation. Vinous 90 2023-12-18
2019 Marziano Abbona Barolo The plum and cherry flavors in this red are muted, sidling up against licorice, leather, earth and eucalyptus notes. There's a distinctive saltiness, plus dense tannins on the gripping finish. Best from 2027 through 2043. 2,300 cases made. 500 cases imported. From Italy. Wine Spectator 92 2023-12-18
2019 Ferdinando Principiano Barolo di Serralunga The 2019 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba is redolent of tar, incense, guodron, menthol, licorice and macerated black cherry. This potent, strapping Barolo packs a serious punch, that much is obvious. Sage, cloves, leather and a whole range of balsamic notes infuse the finish with tons of depth as well as character. 2021 Azabache Garnacha 'Semi Crianza' A fruity and soft red with peaches, cooked strawberries, cinnamon stick and balsamic on the nose. It’s full-bodied, juicy and mellow. Drink now. James Suckling 90 2023-12-06
2022 Morgan Chardonnay 'Highland' Santa Lucia Highlands The 2022 Chardonnay Highland is a classy, elegant wine. Ripe pear, apricot, yellow flowers, chamomile, spice and tangerine peel open nicely. The 2022 balances fruit intensity with brightness quite well. Soft contours wrap it all up in style. Vinous 90 2023-12-04
2021 Morgan Pinot Noir 'Twelve Clones' Santa Lucia Highlands The 2021 Pinot Noir Twelve Clones is a very pretty, understated wine. Silky, floral and nuanced, the 2021 is all charm. Succulent red berry fruit, cedar, spice and crushed flowers all grace this open-knit Pinot from Morgan. Vinous 90 2023-12-04
