Struggling Vines Carrakripan Rioja Blend |
Lots of creativity and innovation have gone into this wine (90% Viura, 6% Malvasia, 4% Garnacha), with amazing results. Part orange wine, part 19th-century winemaking, in large foudres, with careful barrel ageing. Development is already great, but it requires bottle ageing. Starts powerfully, becoming stylish and understated with enticing aromatics on the finish. One to follow, absolutely. |

Ramírez de la Piscina |
Crianza |
There aren't many better Crianzas on the market at this price than the Ramírez de la Piscina family's Tempranillo from vineyards in Ábalos and San Vicente de la Sonsierra. Matured in mixed French and American oak barrels, it has effortless concentration, liquorice and blackberry flavours, subtle wood spices and vivid acidity. 2024-29 |
