2024 Domaine Alain Voge Saint Joseph Les Cotes From a tiny hectare of relatively young vines outside of Mauves and aged 16 months in 400-liter oak barrels with no new oak, the 2024 Saint Joseph Les Côtes has a darker, more classic style compared to the lifted, exotic 2023, yet still has an incredibly floral character. Ripe plums, blueberries, violets, candied orange, and incense all shine here, and it's medium-bodied, with a supple, nicely balanced mouthfeel and a good finish. Jeb Dunnuck 90-92 2026-02-27
2024 Domaine Alain Voge St. Peray Harmonie From two parcels, one at lower elevation and one with younger vines at higher elevation in the appellation, the 2024 Saint-Péray Harmonie is raised entirely in concrete tanks with complete malolactic fermentation. Beautifully pure aromatics of quince and tart peach intermixed with white flowers, almond paste, and a kiss of minerality define the bouquet. It's medium-bodied and balanced, with juicy acidity and plenty of mid-palate depth. Drink bottles over the coming 4-6 years. Jeb Dunnuck 91 2026-02-27
2020 Domaine Alain Voge Saint-Peray Les Bulles d'Alain Disgorged in June of 2025 with zero dosage and based on 100% Marsanne, the 2020 Saint-Péray Les Bulles D'Alain displays a medium gold hue with very fine bubbles. It offers a classy nose of ripe orchard fruits, brioche, green almonds, and croissant. It's medium-bodied and has a pure, layered, elegant mousse, terrific balance, and outstanding length. I like it today, yet it should keep nicely through 2035. Drink 2026-2035. Jeb Dunnuck 91 2026-02-27
2024 Domaine Alain Voge Cornas Les Chailles Aged 18 months in 228-liter oak barrels with no new oak, the 2024 Cornas Les Chailles offers ripe red and black fruits, leafy herbs, violets, and gamey, peppery nuances. These carry to a medium-bodied Cornas that shows wonderful purity, fine tannins, and outstanding length. Jeb Dunnuck 91-93 2026-02-27
2023 Domaine Alain Voge Cornas Les Vieilles Fontaines Not yet bottled but tasted as a final blend, the 2023 Cornas Les Vieilles Fontaines delivers ripe, exotic aromatics of black and blue fruits, blood orange, violets, and incense, with some peppery nuances emerging with air. All the 2023s here have this exotic, lifted style, and this is medium to full-bodied, with a pure, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. Aging 24 months in 228-liter oak barrels with 15% to 20% new oak, it's going to need short-term cellaring to show its full potential. Jeb Dunnuck 94-96 2026-02-27
2023 Domaine Alain Voge Cornas Chapelle Saint Pierre First made in 2016 as a single vineyard release from older vines, the 2023 Cornas Chapelle Saint Pierre is perfumed, exotic, and floral on the nose, with ripe blue fruits, violets, graphite, and pepper, along with a bright, piercing sense of minerality. It's medium to full-bodied and has ripe, firmer tannins, terrific overall balance, and outstanding length on the finish. Aged 20 months in 228-liter oak barrels with no new oak, this shows the quality of this newer bottling and is well worth seeking out. It should benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age and evolve for 20 years or more. Drink 2030-2043. Jeb Dunnuck 95 2026-02-27
2023 Domaine Alain Voge Cornas Les Chailles From a mix of terroirs, mostly from the lower lieux-dits with some younger vines from Saint-Pierre, the 2023 Cornas Les Chailles was completely destemmed and aged 18 months in 228-liter oak barrels with no new oak. It's a beautiful classic Cornas with ripe black fruits, bouquet garni, and peppery, violet nuances. It's medium to full-bodied, round, supple, and undeniably delicious. Drink bottles over the coming 10-15 years. Drink 2026-2041. Jeb Dunnuck 94 2026-02-27
2024 Domaine Alain Voge Cornas Les Vieilles Vignes Not scheduled to be bottled until June, the 2024 Cornas Les Vieilles Vignes shows a deep purple hue and offers a pure, classy perfume of blue fruits, spring flowers, crushed stone-like minerality, and pepper. It's beautifully balanced and medium to full-bodied, with a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel and a great finish. This barrel sample is aged 20 months in 228-liter oak barrels with 10% new oak, and Cornas excelled in 2024, which you see here. Jeb Dunnuck 93-95 2026-02-27
2016 Domaine Alain Voge Cornas Les Vieilles Fontaines Beautiful and certainly in its prime drinking window, the 2016 Cornas Les Vieilles Fontaines offers ripe darker berries, violets, orange blossom, and bouquet garni. It's incredibly well-balanced, with a fine, graceful mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and outstanding length. This is largely about finesse and elegance without sacrificing classic Cornas character, and it has another 10-15 years of prime drinking. Drink 2026-2040. Jeb Dunnuck 96 2026-02-27
2023 Domaine Alain Voge Saint-Peray Fleur De Crussol Bottled in March from the lieu-dit just beside Ongrie with slightly more complex argilo-calcaire soils touched with granite, the 2023 Saint-Péray Fleur De Crussol was aged 13 months in 15% new French oak. It shows a Burgundy-like kiss of reduction as well as gorgeous quince, honeyed pineapple, minty flowers, and almond paste-like nuances. It's rich and medium to full-bodied, with a pure, layered mouthfeel, integrated acidity, and a great finish. Drink 2026-2036. Jeb Dunnuck 95 2026-02-27
