NV Ca' Furlan Cuvee Beatrice Prosecco DOC Showing white peach and pear aromas, this fruity sparkler offers rich, fresh fruit flavors on an off-dry palate. It’s nicely balanced and clean, finishing with a light yeast note. Pleasant drinking and a fabulous value. International Wine Review 90 2017-11-14
2016 Col Vetoraz Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze Platinum straw. An uplifting perfume of apple blossoms and white stone fruit provides a graceful introduction to a refined palate showing beautifully delineated fruit and a silky creamy texture. With 26 g/L RS, it’s off-dry (although labeled “dry” in Prosecco) but so well balanced that it seems much drier. Would be a perfect pairing with lightly spicy Asian food. Aged 16 months in French barriques. International Wine Review 90 2017-11-14
2016 Foris Vineyards Pinot Gris Bright and packed with succulent apple and pear fruit, this retains ample juicy acidity for a perfectly balanced, fresh style. With its underlying wet stone minerality, it offers exceptional value. BEST BUY Wine Enthusiast 90 2017-11-14
2016 Jean Marc Burgaud Morgon Les Charmes Smells riper than the Beaujolais-Villages, darker and slightly spicier. Damson sweetness balanced by rocky Morgon graphite character and freshness of the vintage. Mouth-watering and persistent. 2020-2030 Prince of Pinot 17 2017-11-14
2016 Jean Marc Burgaud Beaujolais Villages 'Château de Thulon' Light cherry red. A light herbal stemmy note. Tight, stemmy and fresh, mouth-watering and bone dry. Almost austere but just on the refreshing end of the spectrum, pure and rocky. 2018-2022

2014 Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Right Bank Napa Valley The 2014 Right Bank Proprietary Red Wine, a blend of 74% Cabernet Franc and 26% Merlot, is a Napa version of a St.-Emilion/Pomerol with its sweet, soft tannins, fleshy, opulent, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, lovely blueberry, black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit. A hint of chocolate seems to emerge in the flavors as it lingers on your palate. This is a relatively juicy, exuberant and big wine to drink over the next 10-15 years. Wine Advocate 91 2017-11-07
2014 Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon The flagship wine is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve, coming from their vineyards tucked away in the under-the-radar sector known as Conn Valley. It is a beautiful example of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Dense purple with a gorgeous, young, but promising nose of blackberry and cassis, licorice, forest floor and earth, the wine hits the palate with a supple, ripe integrated tannic framework, intense black fruits, full body and a long finish. This is a stunner and another great example from Todd Anderson’s vineyard that first produced Cabernet Sauvignon in 1987 and is coming up on its 30th anniversary next year. This wine, given the track record of Anderson Conn Valley wines to age, has a good 25-30 years of life in it, although it is certainly approachable already because of the characteristics of 2014. Wine Advocate 95 2017-11-07
2015 Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Chardonnay The 2015 Chardonnay features ripe peaches, honeydew melon and spiced apples notes with a touch of baking bread. Medium-bodied and delivering plenty of stone fruit and spice flavors in the mouth, it has appealing freshness and a pleasantly savory finish. Wine Advocate 2015 2017-11-07
2014 White Rock Vineyards Chardonnay The 2014 Chardonnay from White Rock Vineyards offers attractive minerality, hints of pineapple and orange rind, medium body, a discreet use of oak, and excellent fruit and purity. It could easily pass for a premier cru Chablis in a blind tasting. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. Wine Advocate 89+ 2017-11-07
2014 White Rock Vineyards Claret The 2014 Claret Proprietary Red Wine, 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot has nice red and blackcurrant fruit, licorice and spice box in an elegant Bordeaux-like style. This is medium-bodied wine, can be drunk now or cellared for 10-12 years. It is also a very good value. Wine Advocate 92 2017-11-07
2013 White Rock Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa is a beauty, with loads of graphite, white chocolate, crème de cassis and blackberry fruit are present in this medium to full-bodied wine with excellent texture, length and personality. The wine tips the scales at 14.7% alcohol, and was aged 24 months in one-third new French oak. Stylistically it reminded me of a hypothetical blend of a Bordeaux-Medoc and a ripe Napa Cabernet. It's dark ruby purple and should drink well for 15 or more years. Wine Advocate 89 2017-11-07

2015 Aldonia Vendimia 2015 60% Garnacha, 40% Tempranillo. Transparent crimson. Fruit not oak soars out of the glass. Very juicy, sweet fruit that would not look out of place behind a relatively smart label in the southern Rhône. Firm tannic framework. This is a wine that is bursting with life. So non industrial. Bravo! VGV 16.5/20 Drink 2017–2020 Jancis Robinson 16.5 2017-11-02
2013 Andrea Oberto Barolo Oberto's 2013 Barolo possesses mid-weight structure, bright acidity and good overall depth. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherries, mint and white pepper are nicely delineated throughout. My sense is that the 2013 is still recovering from its mid-August bottling. Even so, it is very nicely done. Time in the glass helps the wine fill out a bit while the fruit gains depth and the tannins, acidity and overall structure become more vivid. The 2013 is an attractive, forward to drink over the next handful of years, not to mention a terrific entry-level bottling. -- Antonio Galloni Vinous 90 2017-11-02
2013 Andrea Oberto Barolo Albarella The 2013 Barolo Albarella is striking. Freshly cut flowers, rose petals, violets, mint and hard candy give the 2013 its chiseled, vibrant personality. Tasted from cask prior to bottling, the 2013 is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine. I am especially struck by the wine's pure energy. The Albarella displays a slightly darker fruit profile and more nervous tannins than the Rocche. Both are shaping up to be jewels. -- Antonio Galloni Vinous 91-94 2017-11-02
2013 Andrea Oberto Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata The 2013 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata is creamy, layered and seductive. Next to the Albarella, the Rocche has greater mid-palate depth and more polished tannins. All the elements are fused together in an effortless, racy Barolo long on class. A host of rose petal, sweet red cherry, mint, lavender and sweet spice infuse the seductive finish. This very pretty Barolo captures the singular personality of the Rocche vineyard in La Morra's Annunziata district. There is plenty to look forward to. -- Antonio Galloni Vinous 92-95 2017-11-02
2015 Aldonia Aldonia 2015 82% Garnacha, 15% Tempranillo, 3% Graciano matured for 12 months in oak barrels. Paler than the Vendimia 2015 and the nose is subtler. Less bumptious and a bit more reticent at this stage but with an attractive stoniness on the finish. Good balance and a real future. 16.5/20 Drink 2018–2023 Jancis Robinson 16.5 2017-11-01
2015 Aldonia 100 2015 100% 100-year-old Garnacha grown at 850 m in Rioja Baja, aged for 14 months in oak barrels. Light and sophisticated. Really lovely texture and lift. Soars off the palate with fine acidity but masses of fruit. A very gentle hand on the tiller in the winery. This should have a real future but is already a delight. 2016 Lumos Wine Co Rudolfo Logsdon Ridge Vineyard Pinot Gris This young gris leads with the sourdough tang of lees in front of a faint spritz of citrus. It's quite lean, with a texture that's steely and mineral, and thrilling, nervy tension that should relax with a few months in bottle. Wine & Spirits 91 2017-10-30
2013 Lis Neris Lis This oak-fermented flagship wine shows why the Friuli region is often acclaimed as Italy’s best white wine region. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc, Lis is wildly fresh with layers of orchard and stone fruit flavors, but it’s also well structured with a firm mouth feel and lingering minerality on the finish. Fermented in 500L French oak barrels and matured 11 months on the fine lees for 11 months. I-Wine Review 93 2017-10-27
2015 Lis Neris Gris Pinot Grigio An introduction of mineral-infused white and yellow stone fruit gives way to a firmly structured and beautifully balanced feel in the mouth. It’s rich but more subtle than the 2012, which we also tasted. Fermentation begins in stainless steel but finishes in 500L French oak where it ages for another 11 months. I-Wine Review 91 2017-10-27
2015 Lis Neris Picol Sauvignon Blanc An assertively styled but nicely balanced Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry, passion fruit, sage and green bean aromas and flavors. Shows excellent concentration with attractive, bright acidity and finishes long and rich. Fermented in stainless steel and partly matured in 500L French oak for 11 months. I-Wine Review 91 2017-10-27
2014 Lis Neris Jurosa Chardonnay Infused with stone-like minerality from the first whiff to the last, lingering flavor on the finish. Attractive, dense Chardonnay fruit shows in this wine along with well integrated honeyed oak, but the overall sensation is of a very dry, chalky texture and intense, lingering lemon citrus and tropical fruit notes. Sourced from vineyards in the San Lorenzo area with calcareous, alluvial gravel soils. Fermented and aged in 5hl oak barrels. I-Wine Review 92 2017-10-27
2013 Lis Neris Confini The Confini reveals vibrant, complex chamomile and jasmine aromatics and open, generous flavors of tropical fruit on a generous, silky palate. Mango, passion fruit, and a hint of ginger root are underpinned by good balancing acidity. A blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Grigio and Riesling fermented and aged in 500L French oak barrels. I-Wine Review 93 2017-10-27
2009 Lis Neris Tal Luc Gold-amber. Crème brûlée, orange blossom honey and dulce de leche show on the nose of the exquisite Tal Lùc passing. As stronger fruit component appears on the palate in the form of ripe mango, dried apricot and orange zest. Ripe, generous and multi-dimensional, this is one of Frilul’s most outstanding sweet wines. Made from very low yielding (10 hl/ha) Verduzzo vines; the grapes are air dried for 120+ days and then fermented in new 225L French barriques. 250 g/l RS. About 5% Riesling is in I-Wine Review 94 2017-10-27
2015 Chateau Beauchene Grande Réserve Châteauneuf-du-Pape The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grande Réserve (80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, aged mostly in older barrel) shows the nuanced, complex style of the vintage. Black raspberries, strawberries, sappy flowers and garrigue notes all emerge from this elegant, silky, nicely balanced 2015 that has a fine, elegant texture and good length. Jeb Dunnuck 90 2017-10-20
2016 Domaine du Pegau Cuvee Reserve Blanc Chateauneuf-du-Pape The 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc from Pegau is a fresh, beautifully fragrant white that offers lots of citrus, tangerine, and hints of leafy herbs. It's lively, clean and impeccably balanced, and a terrific white from this estate that will drink nicely for 2-4 years, and last even longer. Jeb Dunnuck 91 2017-10-20
2016 Domaine du Pegau Cuvee Reserve Chateauneuf-du-Pape The 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve is a ripe, sexy, port-like beauty that offers incredible blackcurrants, blackberry, garrigue, herbs and pepper aromas and flavors. Powerful, full-bodied, thick and unctuous, with gorgeous purity, this damn thing made my blood pressure jump about 10 points. Jeb Dunnuck 96-99 2017-10-20
2015 Domaine du Pegau Cuvee Reserve Chateauneuf-du-Pape A vintage compared to 2010 by Laurence, the 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape looks to be one of the big successes in the vintage. Possessing a ripe, rounded, sexy style backed up by solid density and concentration, it offers classic Pegau notes of currants, pepper, and cured meats. Big, rich, concentrated and beautifully textured, it offers a rare depth of fruit and richness in the vintage. Jeb Dunnuck 95-97+ 2017-10-20
2015 Domaine Jean Royer Chateauneuf du Pape - Prestige The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Prestige checks in as a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre, all from pebble soils, aged in demi-muids and stainless steel. It's another seamless, elegant, yet powerful wine from this team. Blackcurrants, cherries, dried earth and spice all flow to a full-bodied, ripe, hedonistic effort that has moderate tannin and a great finish. Jeb Dunnuck 92 2017-10-20

Made from 85% Grenache and 15% Mourvèdre, it's concentrated, ripe, full-bodied and structured, with terrific notes of black fruits, pepper, and crushed rock-like minerality. It's another ripe, yet balanced, layered and incredibly drinkable red from proprietor Jean-Marie Royer. Jeb Dunnuck 92-94 2017-10-20
2015 Domaine Jean Royer Chateauneuf du Pape - Sables de la Crau The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Sables de La Crau is 100% Grenache from the sandy part of the famed La Crau lieu-dit. It offers terrific notes of wild strawberries, currants, dried flowers and spice, full-bodied richness, sweet, polished tannin and a great finish. While this vintage was difficult for the sandy terroirs, this cuvée is impressive! Jeb Dunnuck 94 2017-10-20
2016 Domaine Jean Royer Chateauneuf du Pape - Sables de la Crau I suspect the 100% Grenache 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Sables de La Crau will be even better than the 2015. Loads of ripe blueberries, sandalwood, spice, and incense emerge from the glass of this beauty and it's a ripe, hedonistic, incredibly sexy wine that has terrific purity, fine tannin, and a blockbuster finish. Reminding me of the Vieilles Vignes cuvée from Domaine de Marcoux (one of my favorite wines in the world), it should keep for 10-15 years. Jeb Dunnuck 94-96 2017-10-20
2015 Domaine Jean Royer Chateauneuf du Pape - Tradition Leading off the 2015s from bottle and based on 90% Grenache and 5% each of Syrah and Cinsault, the 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a beauty. Kirsch liqueur, toasted spice, dried garrigue and pepper nuances all flow to a ripe, sexy 2015 that's already drinking beautifully. With fine, supple tannin, solid balance and a great finish, it will keep for a decade. Jeb Dunnuck 91 2017-10-20

2016 Patrick Lesec Gigondas Cuvee Romaine Not yet bottled, the 2016 Gigondas Cuvée Romaine is deeper and richer, with terrific notes of black raspberries, blackberries, spice and herbes de Provence characteristics. This beauty is medium to full-bodied and silky on the palate, with a core of sweet fruit, a charming, balanced style and outstanding length. It’s going to deliver the goods for upwards of a decade. Jeb Dunnuck 90-92 2017-10-20
2015 Patrick Lesec Gigondas Cuvee Romaine Tasted out of bottle, the 2015 Gigondas Cuvée Romaine shows a riper, sexier side to the 2015 vintage and has loads of peppery herbs, assorted black fruits, and some gamy, meaty nuances. It too has sweet tannin and a beautiful texture, all suggesting it will keep nicely for 8-10 years. Jeb Dunnuck 91 2017-10-20
2015 Roucas Toumba Vacqueyras Les Premices Blanc The 2015 Vacqueyras Les Premices is certainly worth checking out, and the whites from this appellation are certainly underappreciated in the market today. Offering lots of melon, honeysuckle, hints of tropical fruits and even a kiss of minerality, it’s rounded, supple and concentrated on the palate, with a great finish. It’s a classic southern Rhône white to enjoy over the coming 2-4 years. Jeb Dunnuck 90 2017-10-20
2015 Roucas Toumba Vacqueyras Les Restanques de Cabassole The 2015 Vacqueyras Les Restanques de Cabassole got a few expletives in the notes and is a terrific wine that’s up with the crème de la crème of the vintage. Loaded with notions of black raspberries, cassis, toasted spice, garrigue and hints of chocolate, this beauty is full-bodied, concentrated and layered, as well as elegant. With superb tannin quality and a great finish, it’s going to continue drinking nicely for a decade or more. Jeb Dunnuck 94 2017-10-20
2016 Domaine Yves Cheron Cuvee Jardina d'Eden Vacqueyras A special cuvée named after the winemaker, the 2016 Vacqueyras Yves Cheron is an impressive wine made from equal parts Grenache and Syrah. Completely destemmed and aged in concrete tanks, it boasts terrific notes of plums and black raspberry fruit intermixed with violets, flowers and spice. Medium to full-bodied, perfectly ripe, pure and elegant, I love its texture and would happily drink bottles over the coming 6-7 years. Jeb Dunnuck 90-92 2017-10-20
2015 Domaine Yves Cheron Cuvee Jurassique Gigondas The 2015 Gigondas Yves Cheron is also beautiful and is a slightly different blend of 60% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre raised in 30% new barrels (the Grenache was kept all in tank). Its deeper ruby/purple-tinged color is followed by traditional notes of saddle leather, sandalwood, Provencal herbs, and pepper. Medium to full-bodied, with fine tannin and a terrific sense of elegance, it’s another impressive wine from vigneron Yves Cheron. Jeb Dunnuck 90 2017-10-20

2013 Keenan Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep and powerful from the get go, with beams of supporting tannin and acidity that give the wine its sense of proportion. There is plenty of nuance in the dark fruit, along with terrific aromatic complexity, but today the tannins are imposing, to say the least. Readers should be prepared to cellar the 2013 for at least a few years, but even that may not be enough. This is another terrific example of the vintage. Vinous 93+ 2017-10-16
2015 Domaine Latour-Giraud Meursault 1 er Cru "Charmes" Bright medium yellow. Slightly subdued scents of ripe stone fruits, oatmeal, hazelnut and menthol. Sweet and pliant in the mouth, showing lovely floral lift and surprising acidity to its fruit-driven flavors of pineapple and ripe peach. Lively more than large-scaled, this suave, fully ripe wine is a bit muffled today but is not at all exaggerated. Finishes with lovely purity, cut and length. -- Stephen Tanzer Vinous 92 2017-10-16

NV Bodegas Baron Micaela Amontillado Sherry Lively but standard amontillado aromas of maple, honey and nuts are a touch firey. Matching the nose, this is choppy and pulling on the palate. Salty, nutty, intensely dry flavors finish with hard-driving acidity that creates never-ending length. Wine Enthusiast 88 2017-10-16

So it makes sense that this chardonnay is savory, gentle and generous—built for dinner. Rather than a blast of flavor, it offers bright notes of lemon and chamomile; round and very drinkable. Wine & Spirits BW 2017-10-11
2015 Chateau de Lancyre Roussanne Val de Montferrand Lancyre’s Roussanne is a treasure hidden among a portfolio focused on reds. Made mostly from roussanne, with about 10 percent each viognier and marsanne, it’s grown in the north of Pic St-Loup, on a mix of clay and limestone. In 2015, the wine channels the warmth of the appellation in its deep yellow hue and tropical fruit scents, then does a stunning 180, focusing the flavors on stones and savory herbs. The richness remains in the nut-oil texture, but it’s clean and light, allowing the mineral flavors to shine. This wine lasts for days open in the fridge, realizing more detail with every meal. Accessible now, if you put it away for another five years it will continue to develop a deeper, nuttier complexity. Wine & Spirits 94 2017-10-11

2016 Keuka Spring Rose Wine Enthusiast 89 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Rose The 2016 Dry Rosé is a field blend of Cabernet Franc and Lemberger, with 23% of the juice barrel-fermented (neutral French and American wood). It comes in very dry and with 12% alcohol. Pale salmon in color, this has a slightly different flavor profile, as you might expect from those grapes and the oak treatment. There's just a trace of something different, plum-like, slightly herbal. It's also pretty rich, lush and concentrated, with a mouth-coating feel in its youth. Perhaps because of that oak treatment, this is a pink with the texture to coat the palate. It will pair well with food. It doesn't have as much energy and verve as some, though—perhaps because of that oak treatment. That's the downside. It works great in its style, though. To each his or her own. Drinking it with food is certainly a better idea than drinking it on its own. It is a good red wine substitute for the summer at a nice price. Wine Advocate 88 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Riesling Wine Enthusiast 90 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Riesling The 2016 Riesling is a bit off-dry, with 14 grams per liter of residual sugar and 10.7% alcohol. This lacks the energy, tightly wound demeanor and concentration of the drier Humphreys Vineyard Riesling reviewed, but it is very tasty and the sugar is well under control. This is more of a Kabinett style, or even a dry-ish Spätlese. The combination of moderate steel and moderate sugar is a nice one; it is beautifully balanced. This seems fully transparent, with controlled flavors. It gets drier with air. Well crafted, this is classy as well as delicious. This is the one that will be easy to drink all by itself on the porch this summer. A bit unevolved when seen, though, it might even do better in a few months. There were 879 cases produced. Wine Advocate 89 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Riesling Humphreys Vineyard Effusive white peach and nectarine aromas. This has a very enticing bouquet. The concentration and raciness on the palate puts this in the first league of Finger Lakes Rieslings. The finish is long and seriously mineral (a slaty touch). Drinkable already, but capable of gaining with up to five more years of ageing. James Suckling 93 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Riesling Humphreys Vineyard The 2016 Riesling Humphreys Vineyard is sourced from Seneca Lake. It comes in dry, with six grams per liter of residual sugar and 10.7% alcohol. This was showing beautifully even when seen just about two months after bottling. Dry and compelling, it has beautiful tension on the finish that grips the palate nicely, with fine concentration, too. Although it has plenty of perceptible acidity, it is not searing. There is a nice fruity edge, too. It will wake up more as time goes on. This seems to be on track to be a terrific Riesling, granting that it is a bit unevolved just now. It should age pretty well, too. There were 179 cases produced. Wine Advocate 91 2017-07-18

2015 Gerard Metz Vieilles Vignes Gewurztraminer The nose is a subdued but evocative blend of rose petal, peach, lemon and mirabelle. 2009 Valderiz Tomas Esteban The 2009 Valderiz Tomas Esteban comes from a biodynamically cultivated vineyard populated by vines between 80 and 100 years, subsequently aged in new French oak for 24 months. It has a tightly wound, floral bouquet with macerated black cherries, crushed violets and a touch of vanilla. 2015 Aubichon Pinot Noir Rich round cherry fruit, lightly infused with tobacco highlights, introduces this delicious wine. Clings with strong tenacity on the finish, which shows excellent clarity and a resonating floral note. Vinous 92 2016-12-14
2015 Les Darons Languedoc AOP What looks like another great vintage here, the 2015 AOP Languedoc les Darons is made from 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 5% Carignan; grapes were completely destemmed, and fermented and aged all in concrete tanks. It sees absolutely no oak whatsoever. This medium to full-bodied, plump, rounded, downright sexy 2015 has lots of blueberry, violets, and jammy black cherry aromas and flavors; it has terrific purity of fruit, good acidity and an overriding sense of elegance. If it came from a more prestigious appellation in the southern Rhone, it would go for three times the price. -Jeb Dunnuck Wine Advocate 93 2016-12-01

2009 Cote Bonneville Cote This gorgeous bottling was aged 23 months in 100% new French oak cooperage. In 1992, the Shiels planted 45 acres to six varietals under diverse soils. The DuBrul vineyard is known as one of the premier vineyards in the state. Superstar winemaker Kerry Shiels has crafted another wonderful Cote Bonneville. This wine begins with aromas of sandalwood, smoke, black tea, black cherry with red bell pepper. It has a nice herbal edge to it. This leads to flavors of blackberry, baking spices, pipe tobacco, anise and red cherry. Young at this juncture but lovely and has the typical impressive structure found in Kerry's bottlings. Give this at least one more year for more fruit to integrate. (Best 2017-2034) International Wine Report 93 2016-12-01

The wine opens with aromatics of Gala apple, green papaya and hints of petroleum and starfruit. There are flavors of lemon/lime, crushed wet rock, lemon zest and white peach. This has a gorgeous range of flavors and complexity. (Best 2016-2024) International Wine Report 92 2016-12-01

2012 Sabate I Coca Castellroig Brut Nature Reserva The 2012 Brut Nature Reserva blends 65% Xarello, 30% Macabeo and 5% Parellada from their vineyards; it matured in bottle with the lees for 30 months and has no dosage added, so it's dry.
