2007 Lis Neris Tal Luc Tal Lùc comes in an elegant little bottle that beautifully sets the stage for the fabulous dessert wine to follow. The color is deeply golden and saturated and aromas include toasted almond, dried yellow rose, candied fruit and apricot. 2016 Keuka Spring Rose Wine Enthusiast 89 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Rose The 2016 Dry Rosé is a field blend of Cabernet Franc and Lemberger, with 23% of the juice barrel-fermented (neutral French and American wood). It comes in very dry and with 12% alcohol. Pale salmon in color, this has a slightly different flavor profile, as you might expect from those grapes and the oak treatment. There's just a trace of something different, plum-like, slightly herbal. It's also pretty rich, lush and concentrated, with a mouth-coating feel in its youth. Perhaps because of that oak treatment, this is a pink with the texture to coat the palate. It will pair well with food. It doesn't have as much energy and verve as some, though—perhaps because of that oak treatment. That's the downside. It works great in its style, though. To each his or her own. Drinking it with food is certainly a better idea than drinking it on its own. It is a good red wine substitute for the summer at a nice price. Wine Advocate 88 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Riesling Wine Enthusiast 90 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Riesling The 2016 Riesling is a bit off-dry, with 14 grams per liter of residual sugar and 10.7% alcohol. This lacks the energy, tightly wound demeanor and concentration of the drier Humphreys Vineyard Riesling reviewed, but it is very tasty and the sugar is well under control. This is more of a Kabinett style, or even a dry-ish Spätlese. The combination of moderate steel and moderate sugar is a nice one; it is beautifully balanced. This seems fully transparent, with controlled flavors. It gets drier with air. Well crafted, this is classy as well as delicious. This is the one that will be easy to drink all by itself on the porch this summer. A bit unevolved when seen, though, it might even do better in a few months. There were 879 cases produced. Wine Advocate 89 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Riesling Humphreys Vineyard Effusive white peach and nectarine aromas. This has a very enticing bouquet. The concentration and raciness on the palate puts this in the first league of Finger Lakes Rieslings. The finish is long and seriously mineral (a slaty touch). Drinkable already, but capable of gaining with up to five more years of ageing. James Suckling 93 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Riesling Humphreys Vineyard The 2016 Riesling Humphreys Vineyard is sourced from Seneca Lake. It comes in dry, with six grams per liter of residual sugar and 10.7% alcohol. This was showing beautifully even when seen just about two months after bottling. Dry and compelling, it has beautiful tension on the finish that grips the palate nicely, with fine concentration, too. Although it has plenty of perceptible acidity, it is not searing. There is a nice fruity edge, too. It will wake up more as time goes on. This seems to be on track to be a terrific Riesling, granting that it is a bit unevolved just now. It should age pretty well, too. There were 179 cases produced. Wine Advocate 91 2017-07-18

2016 Gerard Metz Melody Pinot Gris Fresh notes of ripe red apple and juicy pear rise from the glass and also swish freely across the palate. The body is slender, pervaded by a friendly invigorating zestiness that stays right through the dry finish. Wine Enthusiast 90 2017-07-03
2015 Gerard Metz Vieilles Vignes Gewurztraminer The nose is a subdued but evocative blend of rose petal, peach, lemon and mirabelle. The palate shows a similarly easy interplay of flavors on a concentrated, harmonious and off-dry body. This is fresh and fruity, lively and enticing. Wine Enthusiast 90 2017-07-03
2016 Chateau Toutigeac Bordeaux Blanc The fifth generation of the family to make wine at the estate, Oriane Mazeau has created a delicately spicy wine that is lively and fruity. A floral character gives it a lift, as does crisp acidity. Bright, with plenty of flavorsome fruitiness, the wine is already a pleasure to drink. Chemin Des Vins. Best Buy. —R.V. 2015 Lancyre Roussanne Lancyre’s Roussanne is a treasure hidden among a portfolio focused on reds. Made mostly from roussanne, with about 10 percent each viognier and marsanne, it’s grown in the north of Pic St-Loup, on a mix of clay and limestone. In 2015, the wine channels the warmth of the appellation in its deep yellow hue and tropical fruit scents, then does a stunning 180, focusing the flavors on stones and savory herbs. The richness remains in the nut-oil texture, but it’s clean and light, allowing the mineral flavors to shine. This wine lasts for days open in the fridge, realizing more detail with every meal. Accessible now, if you put it away for another five years it will continue to develop a deeper, nuttier complexity. Wine & Spirits 94 2017-06-01
2015 Lancyre Coste d'Aleyrac A blend of syrah, grenache and carignan fermented entirely in stainless steel, this is immediately appealing in its spicy fruitiness, a supple sip of ripe, purple fruit. 2009 Valderiz Tomas Esteban The 2009 Valderiz Tomas Esteban comes from a biodynamically cultivated vineyard populated by vines between 80 and 100 years, subsequently aged in new French oak for 24 months. It has a tightly wound, floral bouquet with macerated black cherries, crushed violets and a touch of vanilla. The palate is full-bodied with plush, rounded red berry fruit interlaced with dried herbs and spices, hints of clove toward the finish that is very persistent. This is another superb wine from Valderiz, but it requires 3-5 years in bottle. Drink 2015-2025. 2015 Aubichon Pinot Noir Rich round cherry fruit, lightly infused with tobacco highlights, introduces this delicious wine. There is a pleasing softness to the palate, without it being in any way flat or flabby. 2012 Domaine Pegau Cuvee Laurence A throwback style and proud of it, with warm chestnut and bay leaf notes taking the lead, followed quickly by worn leather and smoldering tobacco accents. The core of dark currant, warmed cherry and mulled blackberry lies in reserve for now, while the finish lets singed iron and brick dust details hold sway. Just wait for everything to pull together in the cellar. Best from 2020 through 2032. Wine Spectator 96 2016-11-09

2012 Sabate I Coca Castellroig Brut Nature Reserva The 2012 Brut Nature Reserva blends 65% Xarello, 30% Macabeo and 5% Parellada from their vineyards; it matured in bottle with the lees for 30 months and has no dosage added, so it's dry. This shows a step up in complexity and integration of the bubbles, that feel smaller and provide for a creamy texture complementing the clean and fresh style of the house. 25,000 bottles produced. Wine Advocate 90 2016-10-28
2010 Sabate I Coca Castellroig Brut Nature Gran Reserva Similarly, the 2010 Brut Nature Gran Reserva has increased the time in bottle to no less than 50 months, and the Xarello represents 85% of the volume with the balance provided by Macabeo. There are balsamic aromas and notes of camphor, roasted nuts, smoke and bread dough. The palate feels more balanced, and the acidity and bubbles are in very good harmony. Here, more time on the lees is an advantage. Wine Advocate 91 2016-10-28
NV Sabate I Coca Castellroig Brut Scents of almonds lend earthiness to this wine’s apple and pear fruit. It’s the juiciness of the fruit that lasts, tightly focused, clean and just off-dry. A refreshing aperitif. Wine & Spirits 89 2016-10-28

NV Sabate I Coca Castellroig Cava Nature Gran Reserva Dense white peach and yellow citrus flavors provide a succulent match for this wine’s mouthwatering acidity. It feels smooth, substantial and balanced, lasting on the pale smoke of the lees and lemon. Chill this for nigiri sushi. Wine & Spirits 92 2016-10-28
NV Sabate I Coca Castellroig Brut Nature The 2014 Brut Nature is basically the same as the Brut, but without any added dosage, so the difference is in the sweetness (or absence of it). I sometimes find that a little sugar works better, but in this case I prefer the dry version. Wine Advocate 88 2016-10-28

A pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc, the 2013 Friuli Isonzo Picol is fragrant and pure with an impeccable presentation of passion fruit aromas followed by wild sage, crushed mineral, tomato leaf and bitter almond. In the great tradition of Friuli whites, this wine shows a creamy consistency and more textural richness than white wines from other Italian regions.
