2021 Nicodemi Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 'Le Murate' The nose is earthy, savory and slightly salty, but gentle, with aromas of black olive, sun-dried tomato, dried thyme, blackberries and black plum. On the palate, a current of milk chocolate brings out a sweeter dark-fruit element, while firm tannins and vibrant acid provide both structure and energy. Best Buy. Wine Enthusiast 90 2025-05-20
2021 Nicodemi Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane 'Notari' The palate is mostly crushed dark berries, dirt and brush, but hints of fresh raspberries and strawberries provide a warming lift. On the palate, the earthiness crescendos through a bitter, warm, spicy finish that positively crackles with pepper. Wine Enthusiast 91 2025-05-20

2020 Nicodemi Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane Riserva 'Neromoro' The beastly and savage 2020 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva Colline Teramane Neromoro tempts the imagination with its depths of crushed blueberry and blackberry offset by a whiff of ashen stones and a minty herbal resonance. Silken to the core and quite elegant, it washes across the palate with grace, leaving a crackling of minerals and an air of lavender toward the close. This finishes with a staining of red and black fruit, sweet tannins and a pleasant bitter twang that keeps the taster looking back to the glass for more. Vinous 94 2025-05-08
