Carmenere 'Single Vineyard' Colchagua Valley |
A balanced bouquet reveals aromas of eucalyptus and a sweet note of ripe cherries. Firm tannins and good acidity provide structure, supporting notes of green bell pepper and red fruit. Best Buy. |

Col Vetoraz |
Valdobbiadene Prosecco Brut |
This is hillside Prosecco that shows why site matters. It’s from one of Valdobbiadene’s steeper slopes and arrives with something of a real presence. Crisp green apple and white peach get lifted by a chalky mineral streak that speaks of those limestone soils. Bubbles have precision rather than just fizz, making this more dinner party material than a mimosa mixer. |

La Fiorita |
Brunello di Montalcino |
The umami, peppery nose pops with aromas of cigar wrapper, black pepper, wild herbs, crushed stones, and black plum. Blackberries enhance the black-plum element on the palate, while undertones of earth and more herbs provide balance. Tannins are dense and solid. |

Lobster Reef |
Pinot Noir |
Prominent red-berry fruit—along with more subtle orange peel, clove, and ground pepper nuances—leads to a palate that’s light weight, with tart acidity and slightly bitter, cherry-pit finish. Best Buy. |

Cremant de Bourgogne 'Reserve' |
Enticing aromas of bread dough, brioche, and apple tart flatter white peach, orange blossom, and white flower on the nose. The palate presents fresh fruit, green apple, and lemon zest that play with chalky acidity on the finish. |

Cuvee Reserve Blanc Chateauneuf-du-Pape |
Beautiful ripe apple, honeyed white flowers, and baking spice define the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Réservée Blanc, and it picks up a certain Riesling-like mineral and petrol nuance with time in the glass. It's beautifully textured, medium-bodied, has a layered, seamless mouthfeel, and a great finish. This is a classic, beautifully pure, clean white with tons of character. I love it today, yet this should have a solid decade or more of overall longevity. Drink 2025-2035. |

Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Prestige' Rouge |
Ultra-classic stuff from the galets roulés of le Bois de la Ville, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Prestige is based on 90% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre, partially destemmed, and aged 12 months in 10% new French oak with the balance in concrete. Black cherries, leather, graphite, and peppery garrigue define the aromatics, and it's perfumed, expressive, and complex. Medium to full-bodied, ripe, round, and wonderfully textured, with outstanding length on the finish, this gem in the vintage will deliver the goods for 10-12 years. Roughly 500 cases produced. |

Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Cuvee Reserve' |
Tasted out of foudre, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Réservée is more focused, inward, and chiseled, with beautiful aromatics of darker fruits, violets, and pepper. This medium-bodied, pure, concentrated effort has ripe, building tannins and a great finish. It could easily be a match for the 2004, which was one of the best wines in the vintage. |

Cuvee Reserve Blanc Chateauneuf-du-Pape |
Offering more orchard fruits, minty herbs, mineral, and a similar subtle hint of petrol, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Réservée Blanc is medium-bodied, supple, beautifully textured, has nicely integrated acidity, and outstanding length. It needs a year in bottle and will have a solid 10-15 years of prime drinking. It's cut from the same cloth as the 2023 but is perhaps a touch more chiseled and focused. Drink 2026-2040. |
