This textural, mineral-drenched wine hints at honeysuckle, lemongrass and fresh spring herbs. The fruit centers on white peach and peppery daikon radish. 2016	Andrea Oberto	Barolo DOCG Albarella	The 2016 Barolo Albarella is laced with sweet red cherry, blood orange, mint, white pepper and spice. Medium in body and bright, the 2016 pulses with a real sense of energy. This is recovering from its recent bottling, but it has so much to offer; bright acids give it a real sense of invigorating vitality. The 2016 is an especially fine edition of the Albarella. 2016	Andrea Oberto	Barolo DOCG	The 2016 Barolo is fleshy, succulent and super-expressive, all of which make it an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next decade or so. Sweet red cherry, kirsch, cinnamon, mint and rose petal all flesh out in the glass, while soft, silky tannins give this forward Barolo plenty of near and medium-term appeal. 2012	Alain Brumont - Chateau Montus	Blanc Pacherenc du Vic Bilh	Alain Brumont likes to throw challenges at himself and this is one of them. Made from two really local grapes, Petit Courbu and Petit Manseng, this wine is dry and strongly oxidative. It has fascinating touches of honey, of yellow fruit, of spice and hints of toast from the wood aging in large barrels. The wine is now very mature and very ready to drink.
