2023	Napa 1847	Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley	This looks and tastes as though it might cost $80 rather than half that price. Deep pigment concentration indicates that something serious is on the way even before a sniff or sip, and the wine follows through with very appealing aromas as well as dark toned fruit showing impressive density and depth of flavor. 2023	Annabella	Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley	Sometimes the most attractive attribute of a $30 Cabernet from the Napa Valley is the name of the appellation on label, but this is an entirely credible specimen of the breed. 2021	La Fiorita	Brunello di Montalcino	Black cherry and blackberry fruit occupy center stage in this dense, muscular red. Beefy tannins provide support, while vibrant acidity keeps this lively and long on the finish, where iron, tomato leaf and Tuscan scrub add detail. 2023	Boutinot	Cotes du Rhone Villages 'Les Coteaux'	Strappy licorice and plum paste notes are ripe and round, with earthy dimensions of salt, tapenade, dried herbs and lavender. Robust in feel, with a graphite spine and rooibos tea tannins to keep hold through the substantial, smoky finish. Grenache and Syrah. Drink now through 2029. 8,500 cases made, 4,500 cases imported. 2022	Dunham	Red Blend 'Trutina' Columbia Valley	The Trutina is a Merlot-based blend with Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Black fruits and a core of earthy minerality light up the glass with expressive aromatics. The palate is concentrated and lush, with ripe blackberry fruits, peppery notes of spice, and sandalwood lending this wine a notable oak influence. 2023	Dunham	Three Legged Red'	A value blend that comes from the best barrels and fruit selection of the Dunham Cellars wines. Classic notes of eucalyptus and tobacco leaf, graphite and red fruit all show very prettily. The palate offers fresh black and blue fruits, a melange of savoury herbs and a wonderfully lifted finish. 2024	Dunham	Chardonnay 'Shirley Mays'	Dawning a brand new label for ’24, the Dunham Cellars ‘Shirley Mays’ Chardonnay was stored in roughly a third new French oak prior to bottling. Sourced from the Kenny Hill and Lewis Vineyards, this is dense and delicious on the mouth, with bright acidity.
