Silky and weightless in the mouth, offering juicy strawberry, bitter cherry and lavender pastille flavors that take a sweeter turn on the back half. Closes very long and nervy, with resonating spiciness and florality and no tannins that I can find. This wine was made from vines once owned by Jules Chauvet, the founding father and guru of whole-cluster, minimal-intervention winemaking in Beaujolais who profoundly influenced many of today's leading winemakers of the region such as Lapierre, Foillard, Thévenet, and Chamonard.
