2013	Collelceto	Brunello di Montalcino	Bright red with a pale rim. Flinty red cherry, violet, sandalwood and graphite on the nose and in the mouth. Clean, dense and juicy, with polished tannins nicely framing the juicy flavors; this lovely wine has a captivating vibrancy and is remarkably elegant and precise, rather than powerful and fleshy. 2015	Chateau Viranel	Saint Chinian Tradition Rouge	Twenty percent of Viranel's 2015 Saint Chinian Tradition spent a year in oak (the rest stayed in tank for its élevage), so there's no obvious oak flavor in this blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 10% Carignan and 10% Mourvèdre. Instead, it delivers raspberry and cherry fruit, the merest hints of thyme and rosemary and a touch of star anise. Drink this medium to full-bodied, supple wine on the fruit over the next few years. 2017	Domaine Poli	Ile de Beaute Niellucciu Rose	Pale eye of the partridge. Minerals, garrigue and rose petal aromas. Very fresh, mineral laden palate with good intensity of sour cherry fruit. Firmly structured but delicate on the palate, this is a serious food wine. Direct press; 100% Niellucciu from the Domaine Eric Poli's vineyards in the commune of Linguizzetta in Corsica.
