2016 Ramirez de la Piscina Crianza A fresh 2016, this melds notes of crushed raspberries and woody rosemary and thyme stems with earthy limestone edges and tannins. It’s simple, a bit short, but earthy and sophisticated while it lasts. Best Buy Wine & Spirits 91 2020-11-11
2016 Ramirez de la Piscina Reserva 'Seleccion' A selection from parcels in Abalos, the Ramirez de la Piscina family’s home town, and San Vicente de la Sonsierra, both in Rioja Alta, this is a youthfully intense 2016. It builds power out of sour cherry and ripe black-cherry flavors, the savory tannins of the grape skins adding chewiness and a gamey note. Suited to several years of development in the cellar, this is an impressive value. Best Buy Wine & Spirits 92 2020-11-11
2019 Supernatural Wine Co. Sauvignon Blanc 'Green Glow' The deep golden, slightly cloudy hue (the wine is unfined and unfiltered) will scare most conventional New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc drinkers, but for those looking for something that pushes boundaries, come on over! Spontaneously fermented, there was plenty of skin contact and the wine rested on lees for six months, enriching the midpalate and giving phenolic grip on the gentle finish. You can expect some of the characteristic aromas of Sauvignon, including boxwood, as well as fresh peach and woodsmoke. A wonderfully wild and weird midweight with plenty of concentration, richness and precision. Vinous 90 2020-11-11
2018 Supernatural Wine Co. Sauvignon Blanc 'The Supernatural' From the temperate climes of Hawke's Bay, this is a full-bodied and round Sauvignon Blanc that's about as mellow as the variety gets. It's rich and mouth-filling, with masses of texture, plentiful concentration and flavors of peaches, bruised apple and cream-filled pastry. While there's impressive concentration here, the conclusion is slightly languid; gentle acidity and well-handled phenolics from skin contact provide just about enough structure. Vinous 90 2020-11-11
2018 Falset Marca Zerran' Coming from the Monsant region, just outside the Priorat, and a blend of 50% Garnacha, 40% Cariñena (Mazuelo), and 10% Syrah, the 2018 Zerran has a juicy, fruit forward, medium-bodied style offering plenty of peppery herbs and spice, a distinct sense of minerality, light tannins, and a great finish. It brings plenty of fruit yet has a good spine of acidity and notable overall balance. It's really well done and should drink nicely for 4-5 years. Jeb Dunnuck 90 2020-11-10

2013 Ramirez de la Piscina Gran Reserva A solid step up over the Reserva, the 2013 Gran Reserva offers a terrific nose of red and black currants, toasted spices, chocolate, and cedary earth. Opening up nicely with time in the glass, this deep ruby/purple-hued effort is medium to full-bodied, has a focused, elegant texture, good acidity, and outstanding length on the finish.
