2020 Domaine Durand Sancerre Perfumed and with a touch of spice, this rich wine brings out a tropical side of Sauvignon Blanc. Pepper and a textured edge add essential contrast. The wine is young, so a few more months would be good. Drink from 2022. Buy Now. Wine Enthusiast 92 2022-04-13
2019 Decibel Pinot Noir Martinborough 'Testify' The 2019 Pinot Noir Testify is a silken, sensual wine with plum fruit, spices and floral notes. It is elegant and evokes refined brooding (if that's even a thing). Pure and detailed, with acidity that positively blooms on the perfumed finish, while savory, detailed tannins provide gentle grip. Rather sophisticated. Vinous 95 2022-04-12
2019 Decibel Pinot Noir Martinborough The dry-farmed, organic 2019 Pinot Noir, from the Martinborough region, is brooding, round and shapely, with mouthwatering acidity. A high level of concentration suggests low yields, while the plentiful color and tannic density point to small berries. A young and intense yet shapely wine with tannins akin to licking a stone. The cinnamon and nutmeg spices of oak barrel maturation integrate with the brooding fruit, which is reminiscent of black cherries, violets and dried herbs. This is a wine whose underlying power and substance can't be ignored. It could be approached now with a hunk of lamb, but I'm more keen to see it in 6–10 years' time. Vinous 93 2022-04-12
