2017 Verbena Brunello di Montalcino Black-cherry, lightly burnt orange and currant aromas follow through to a full body with lots of fresh tannins and zesty fruit, as well as hints of new wood. A little young and slightly rough, but there’s potential here for the vintage. Give it a year or two of bottle age. Try after 2023. James Suckling 91 2022-04-07
2018 El Principal Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 'Memorias' Maipo Andes Valley The 2018 Memorias, produced with a blend of varieties, comes through as bright in color and aromas, balsamic and with notes of herbs, ripe without excess but quite showy, aromatic and open. It has abundant fine-grained tannins and a bitter twist in the finish. 40,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2020. Wine Advocate 90 2022-04-07
2018 El Principal Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 'Calicanto' Maipo Andes Valley The juicy and fruit-driven 2018 Calicanto, a blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Carmenère, 7% Syrah, 3% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc, has the light of the higher-altitude vineyards from Los Andes, a kind of brightness that combines some herbal and wild berry aromas and a spicy touch. This is higher in Carmenère, and it's spicier and peppery, with a medium-bodied palate with fine and round tannins, a gentle texture and good balance. 132,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2019. Wine Advocate 90 2022-04-07
