2010 Alain Brumont - Chateau Montus Madiran The nose is swathed in black fruits, but there’s a rich herbal quality too. Very ripe and juicy, this has concentration and sucrosity without jamminess. It’s taut and spicy, shows good acidity and ample power, though perhaps at the expense of finesse. Decanter 91 2020-03-27
2009 Alain Brumont - Chateau Montus Prestige Madiran Even after ten years, the colour remains opaque red. There’s a wealth of plum and black-cherry fruit on the nose, with a perceptible oakiness and a chocolatey tone. Suave and very rich, it shows depth and spice and immense concentration, but it’s balanced by high acidity that keeps it taut. Powerful and long. Decanter 93 2020-03-27
2009 Alain Brumont - Chateau Montus La Tyre Madiran Impenetrable red in colour. The nose is lush and damsony, with a seductive richness of fruit. Velvety and very concentrated, it nonetheless exhibits vivid acidity and spice. The rather high alcohol gives a peppery finish, and a long bitter-chocolate finish. Perhaps too much of a good thing, but undeniably impressive. Decanter 93 2020-03-27
2012 Alain Brumont - Chateau Montus Blanc Pacherenc du Vic Bilh The full straw colour is a bit alarming, but there’s no oxidation here. The nose is waxy, with apricot aromas. Rich and creamy, this is very concentrated and spicy, lifted by fine acidity, and displaying energy as well as opulence. Long. Decanter 92 2020-03-27
2016 Lornano Chianti Classico Sensations: its gustatory persuasiveness is rare and harmonious, ßrst, as an effect of admirable ripeness of the fruit, then effect of great respect in the winemaking process. The acidity that elevates the expressive olfactory note, the tannins, that give the impression of fleshy grape, the roundness of ripe berry, that all implies in balanced expressive softness. Then the density, that as the clearness of transformation, reveals the concentration and purity of raw material. A spicy and black blackberry jam, that in a spherical way shines of its best aroma. Absolutely among the best Chianti Classico, chapeau. - 2nd Best Red Wine of Italy Luca Maroni 97 2020-03-24

2018 Marziano Abbona Papa Celso Dolcetto Dogliani DOCG The 2018 Dogliani Papà Celso is not quite as bombastic as often is, and that is just fine. In 2018, the Papà Celso is graced with a whole range of floral and savory notes that complement its unctuous red plum jam and blackberry fruit. A kick of spice and blood orange adds freshness. Papà Celso remains one of the most distinctive wines anywhere in the world. Vinous 92 2020-03-24
