It has a classic Syrah nose of black raspberries, leafy herbs, spring flowers, and peppered game. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured, elegant Syrah with fine tannins, good acidity, and a great finish. It will drink well for a decade. |

The Nicodemi 2014 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane Riserva Neromoro is a well-built red wine to pair with grilled or roasted meats. It offers soft layers of spice and dark fruit with mild structure and lots of dense fiber to compensate (thanks to 18 months in oak). This wine comes from a difficult vintage that was slowed down by abundant rain and cooler than normal temperatures. As a result, the finish is slightly shorter and more compact. Some 10,000 bottles were made. |
