2021 Domaine du Pegau Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Cuvee Reserve' Ultimately spending four years in barrels, the 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Laurence is made with the idea of being upfront, open, and ready to go on release. It reveals spice, garrigue, and saddle leather nuances that are very charming, forward, and appealing. Medium-bodied, seamless, and complex, it's a beautiful wine that's going to check all the boxes for you traditional Châteauneuf du Pape lovers out there. Jeb Dunnuck 91-93 2025-11-13
2024 Domaine Jean Royer Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Prestige' Rouge Ultra-classic stuff from the galets roulés of le Bois de la Ville, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Prestige is based on 90% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre, partially destemmed, and aged 12 months in 10% new French oak with the balance in concrete. Black cherries, leather, graphite, and peppery garrigue define the aromatics, and it's perfumed, expressive, and complex. Medium to full-bodied, ripe, round, and wonderfully textured, with outstanding length on the finish, this gem in the vintage will deliver the goods for 10-12 years. Roughly 500 cases produced. 2023 Domaine du Pegau Cuvee Reserve Blanc Chateauneuf-du-Pape Beautiful ripe apple, honeyed white flowers, and baking spice define the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Réservée Blanc, and it picks up a certain Riesling-like mineral and petrol nuance with time in the glass. It's beautifully textured, medium-bodied, has a layered, seamless mouthfeel, and a great finish. This is a classic, beautifully pure, clean white with tons of character. I love it today, yet this should have a solid decade or more of overall longevity. Drink 2025-2035. Jeb Dunnuck 93 2025-11-13
2023 Domaine du Pegau Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Cuvee Reserve' Tasted from multiple foudre, the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Réservée is a big, rich, opulent wine with exotic red and black fruits, as well as garrigue, saddle leather, and spice. It's medium to full-bodied, round, supple, and sexy. It shows the riper side to the vintage and might have a kiss of the 2003 in its overall style, yet perhaps with a touch more freshness. 2024 Domaine Jean Royer Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Tradition' Rouge Based on 100% Grenache from the galets roulés of le Bois de la Ville and partially destemmed, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape was vinified and aged 12 months in concrete tanks. Upfront, perfumed aromatics of black raspberries, peppery garrigue, and violet show beautifully from the glass. It's medium-bodied on the palate, has ripe, forward fruit, velvety tannins, and outstanding length. This pleasure-bent, incredibly satisfying 2024 will drink well on release and over the following decade. There are roughly 833 cases produced. Jeb Dunnuck 90-92 2025-11-13
2024 Domaine du Pegau Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Cuvee Reserve' Tasted out of foudre, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Réservée is more focused, inward, and chiseled, with beautiful aromatics of darker fruits, violets, and pepper. This medium-bodied, pure, concentrated effort has ripe, building tannins and a great finish. It could easily be a match for the 2004, which was one of the best wines in the vintage. Jeb Dunnuck 93-95 2025-11-13
2024 Domaine du Pegau Cuvee Reserve Blanc Chateauneuf-du-Pape Offering more orchard fruits, minty herbs, mineral, and a similar subtle hint of petrol, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Réservée Blanc is medium-bodied, supple, beautifully textured, has nicely integrated acidity, and outstanding length. It needs a year in bottle and will have a solid 10-15 years of prime drinking. It's cut from the same cloth as the 2023 but is perhaps a touch more chiseled and focused. Drink 2026-2040. Jeb Dunnuck 93 2025-11-13
2024 Domaine Jean Royer Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Les Sables de la Crau' All Grenache from the sandy soils of la Crau, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Sables De La Crau was partially destemmed, vinified in concrete tanks, and aged in used barrels. It shows gorgeous aromatics of wild strawberry and framboise intermixed with sappy flowers, Provençal spices, and garrigue. It's medium to full-bodied, has a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. This perfumed, incredibly expressive 2024 has tons of character, and my money is on it being a truly brilliant wine. There are roughly 166 cases produced. Jeb Dunnuck 93-95 2025-11-13
2023 CAM X Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley Lot 01 Aromas of black fruit, chocolate, red currants, dried herbs, graphite and earth. The palate is well balanced, with a rounded mouthfeel, fine-grained tannins and a soft and fruit-driven finish. There’s plenty of generosity and complexity for the price. Drink or hold.
