Domaine de Fondrèche |
Blanc AOP Ventoux |
Based on 25% each of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Clairette, and Rolle and brought up on fine lees for six months in concrete, the 2024 Ventoux Domaine Blanc is bright and racy, offering honeyed citrus, tangerine, mint, and chalky minerality. It's medium-bodied and has beautifully integrated yet high acidity. It picks up a juicy, salty, incredible minerality on the finish. There are roughly 3,300 cases produced. Drink 2025-2032. |

Domaine de Fondrèche |
Rouge |
Brought up in foudre and concrete, the 2023 Ventoux Domaine is deep ruby/purple-hued and has a brilliant perfume of peppery red and blackberries, pepper, creamy flowers, and smoked meats. Based on 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, it's medium-bodied and has a pure, layered, focused mouthfeel, fine tannins, and a great finish. It has incredibly well-integrated oak and is going to evolve gracefully over the coming 10-15 years. There are roughly 3,300 cases produced. Drink 2025-2038. |

CAM X |
Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley Lot 01 |
Aromas of black fruit, chocolate, red currants, dried herbs, graphite and earth. The palate is well balanced, with a rounded mouthfeel, fine-grained tannins and a soft and fruit-driven finish. There’s plenty of generosity and complexity for the price. Drink or hold. |

Domaine du Pegau |
Chateauneuf-du-Pape 'Cuvee Reserve' |
Beautiful stuff and one of the gems in the vintage, the 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Réservée shows ripe black cherries, scorched earth, sandalwood, and incredibly peppery garrigue and spice. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate and has a pure, focused, concentrated mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's a serious, classic Pegau that has so much to love and will shine for another 40 years in cold cellars. It reminds me of the 2015. Drink 2025-2065. #21 on Jeb Dunnuck's Top 100 Wines of 2025 |

Unoaked Chardonnay 'Metallico' Monterey |
This is a pure, vivid expression of chardonnay, the green apples, lemons and stony minerality balanced nicely by a weighty mid-palate. Unoaked and fermented entirely in stainless steel—hence the name. Well crafted. Drink now. |

Glaetzer |
Shiraz 'Amon Ra' |
I’ve looked at this wine many times over the years, almost exclusively as an older/cellared wine. The impact it has made is strong, and so it is through this lens that I now view this 2020 Amon-Ra Shiraz. This year’s Amon-Ra is concentrated, dense and absolutely, utterly saturated with flavor. The fruit that spirals within the bounds of the firm tannins is fleshy and pure, and with the knowledge that the wine sails through the decade with noiseless grace, it is all the more impressive in its infancy now. A brilliant wine – all ductile and proud. Yes. Drink Date 2022 – 2042. |

Glaetzer |
Shiraz 'Amon Ra' |
Always a picture of pure fruit density and latent power, the latest release of Ben Glaetzer’s Amon Ra continues that theme of Barossa concentration. Glossy blackberry, black cherry and satsuma plum fruit flow readily, that compact Ebenezer power on full display. Hints of baking spice, earth, licorice and dark chocolate come into play, along with tightly packed, gypsum-like tannins for support, impressive acid cadence and a persistent and enduring exit. Always impressive. |

Pinot Noir |
Bright, juicy red fruit joins a delicate touch of autumnal spice, a rose bouquet, and subtle peppercorn on the nose of this Pinot Noir from a family-owned winery. With soft tannins and a pleasing herbal quality that extends from the entry to the savory finish, it's easy like Sunday morning. |
