2020	Domaine Cabirau	Cotes du Rousillon	The 2020 Côtes du Roussillon checks in as 50% Grenache, 30% Carignan, and 20% Syrah. It has classic Maury-like notes of chocolate, minerals, and meaty black cherry fruits as well as medium to full-bodied richness, a round, supple, seamless mouthfeel, and outstanding length. 2021	Domaine D'Ansignan	Petites Grappes	From an estate purchased by Jeff Carrel in 2016, the 2021 Côtes du Roussillon Les Petites Grappes is equal parts Grenache and Carignan from pure granite soils. Beautiful, almost Northern Rhône-like notes of ripe red and black fruits, smoked meats, graphite, and pepper, as well as a beautiful minerality, define the aromatics, and it's fresh, focused, and elegant, with beautifully integrated acidity.
