Macerated red cherry, rose petal, tangerine oil, spice and crushed flowers make a strong opening statement. Beams of tannin give the 2019 its shape and overall energy. Some vanilla flavors come through on the palate, but this remains balanced overall and smooth. The tannins are well-integrated and the bright, plummy fruit picks up again on the finish. 2020	Meadowcroft	Cabernet Sauvignon Mt Veeder	With a glimmering dark purple core with a light brick-orange rim in the glass, the 2020 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon features aromas of blue plums, boysenberry pie, sweet baked vanilla, toasted cinnamon stick, and new leather. The palate gifts additional notes of cassis, licorice root, and forest herbs. Grippy tannins need a year or so to soften, but the lovely acidity helps finish things off nicely.
