Chardonnay
The early growing season also allowed us to take advantage of the warmer summer months to accelerate ripening. The 2013 is 100% from the Woodruff Family Vineyard. We picked roughly equal parts from the Terraces and the North Block and whole cluster pressed them together to a concrete egg for fermentation.
Organic
Post-fermentation, the wine was left in concrete sur lies during the Malolactic fermentation and the better part of the 19 month elevage.

This wine was fermented in a concrete egg, but post fermentation, it was moved to a small French oak foudre where it remained until it was bottled at the end February. Like many vintages of this wine, it is Jura influenced with some oxidation and more phenolic characters though still light and possessing the mineral texture that is characteristic of this botting and to some extent, the Santa Cruz Mountains. Bottled unfiltered and unfined..
