2022	Boutinot	Cotes du Rhone Villages 'Les Coteaux'	A voluptuous, extroverted red that matches strappy licorice, black plum and fragrant violet notes with a solid wall of graphite. Grilled herbs and smoke gild the broad palate, with real structure to the framework that makes for a focused finish. Appealingly lush, with good energy. Grenache and Syrah. 2023	Domaine du Pegau	Cotes du Rhone Blanc 'Cuvee Lone'	A creamy gush of peach and melon flavors show real concentration and oomph on the palate of this distinctive white, set against bitter chalky mineral notes, plus green herbs and smoke, with a beam of bitter lemon peel and steely acidity. This has a lot of life and tension, in addition to the opulent core. Clairette, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc and Ugni Blanc. Drink now. 1,250 cases made, 400 cases imported.
