2018	Dunham	Red Blend 'Trutina' Columbia Valley	Based on 52% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance equal parts Petit Verdot and Malbec, the 2018 Trutina is another inky color beaty offering impressive aromatics of blackberries, black cherries, tobacco, chocolate, and spring flowers. Medium to full-bodied and nicely concentrated, with ripe tannins, it has a seamless, elegant texture, no hard edges, and a great finish. It certainly over-delivers at the price. 2017	Dunham	Cabernet Sauvignon 'XXIII' Columbia Valley	A blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% each of Merlot and Malbec, and the balance Petit Verdot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon XXIII sports a deep purple color as well as classic Cabernet notes of cassis, plums, tobacco leaf, and Asian spices. 2017	Pursued by Bear	Red Blend 'Bear Cub' Columbia Valley	The 2017 Bear Cub Red Wine (65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, and 17% Syrah) is a terrific red offering lots of earthy red and blue fruits as well as complex notes of chocolate, roast coffee, tobacco, and even a touch of tapenade (no doubt due to the Syrah). 2017	Pursued by Bear	Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley	The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, which includes 5% Merlot, comes from the Champoux, DuBrul, Dionysus, and Weinbau vineyards and spent 30 months in barrel. It’s a medium to full-bodied, nicely fruited, elegant Cabernet that shows the more streamlined style of the vintage yet still brings beautiful depth and length. 2017	Pursued by Bear	Syrah 'Baby Bear' Columbia Valley	The 2017 Syrah Baby Bear is all Syrah and spent 30 months in Taransaud 600-Liter puncheons. This medium-bodied, balanced, elegant Syrah has fine, polished tannins as well as complex notes of jammy blackberries, leafy herbs, and foresty, earthy nuances. It’s impeccably made. 2016	Ramírez de la Piscina	Crianza	Brilliant ruby. Aromas of cherry pit, blackberry, licorice and cola are complemented by a subtle hint of dill. Sweet and penetrating on the palate, offering cherry preserve, red berry, vanilla and rose pastille flavors that spread out slowly on the back half. 2016	Ramírez de la Piscina	Reserva	Bright violet. Mineral-tinged red and blue fruit preserve and floral scents are complemented by hints of vanilla, tobacco and licorice. Sappy, expansive black raspberry and blueberry flavors smoothly blend weight and energy and pick up an allspice nuance on the back half. A deeply perfumed bouquet displays an array of ripe dark fruits and pungent flowers, along with oak spice, vanilla and coconut accents that emerge with aeration. Juicy and appealingly sweet, offering concentrated, spice-tinged blackberry, cherry-vanilla and mocha flavors and a subtle licorice nuance. 2014	Ramírez de la Piscina	Gran Reserva	Dark garnet. An expansive bouquet evokes candied cherry, coconut, mocha, cured tobacco and spicecake, and a floral nuance builds in the glass. Sweet, open-knit cherry-vanilla, blackberry, coconut and rose pastille flavors are complemented by hints of smoky minerals and candied licorice.
