Mineral, tobacco and rosemary accents add depth, and the vibrant structure keeps it all defined. Beautifully balanced and long, echoing the ripe fruit. Sangiovese and Canaiolo. 2016	Rocca di Castagnoli	Stielle Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione	An electric, complex red, exhibiting black cherry, black currant, iron and tobacco flavors, encased in new oak that's overwhelming, not only in terms of toasty, spicy flavors, but with another layer of tannins. 2018	Morgan	G17 Syrah	Lively aromas of black raspberry jam on French toast, dark hibiscus, tar and lavender show on the cool-climate nose of this bottling, which includes 3% each of Grenache and Tempranillo. 2017	Morgan	G17 Syrah	This extremely bright Syrah shows the influence of newish winemaker Samuel Smith, who brings a crystallized focus to the variety, starting with aromas of black raspberry, boysenberry, asphalt and rosemary blossom. 2019	Morgan	G17 Syrah	Hooray for cool climate Syrah! Dan Lee's team gets it right here, delivering black and blue berries, orange zest, meat, soft pepper and clove aromas and flavors over bright acidity and supple grip that keeps the flavors coming. 2021	Commanderie de la Bargemone	Rose Marina 'Collection' Coteaux d'Aix en Provence	Dense and ripe, housed in what looks like a hefty gin bottle, this wine is rich and fragrant.
