2022 Nicodemi Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 'Le Murate' The 2022 Colline Teramane Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Le Murate is impossible to ignore. Its burst of wild blueberries and sweet sage is complicated by hints of chalk dust and cocoa. This is wonderfully fresh and vibrant in style, with pure wild berry fruits and violet pastille that resonate throughout. It tapers off long and is perfumed with a liquid floral concentration, leaving traces of lavender and blue flowers lingering. This lovely Montepulciano is refined entirely in stainless steel tanks. It's a fantastic value. Vinous 91 2024-09-27

2021 Domaine du Pegau Cuvee Reserve Rouge Chateauneuf-du-Pape Scents of leather, violets, cherries and strawberries mark the nose of the 2021 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée Réservée, tasted as a representative assemblage from several foudres. Medium to full-bodied, it's silky but firm, with a long, slightly tannic finish. Wine Advocate 92-94 2024-09-25
2021 Domaine du Pegau Cuvee Reserve Rouge Chateauneuf-du-Pape This has so much power and meaty depth for the 2021 vintage, also stacks of healthy tannins that give it great intensity at the very long and complete finish. It’s packed with licorice, tar and stony character that makes it hard to pull yourself away from its compelling hold. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. James Suckling 95 2024-09-25
