2016 Keuka Spring Riesling Humphreys Vineyard Effusive white peach and nectarine aromas. This has a very enticing bouquet. The concentration and raciness on the palate puts this in the first league of Finger Lakes Rieslings. The finish is long and seriously mineral (a slaty touch). Drinkable already, but capable of gaining with up to five more years of ageing. James Suckling 93 2017-07-18
2016 Keuka Spring Riesling Humphreys Vineyard The 2016 Riesling Humphreys Vineyard is sourced from Seneca Lake. It comes in dry, with six grams per liter of residual sugar and 10.7% alcohol. This was showing beautifully even when seen just about two months after bottling. Dry and compelling, it has beautiful tension on the finish that grips the palate nicely, with fine concentration, too. Although it has plenty of perceptible acidity, it is not searing. There is a nice fruity edge, too. It will wake up more as time goes on. This seems to be on track to be a terrific Riesling, granting that it is a bit unevolved just now. It should age pretty well, too. There were 179 cases produced. Wine Advocate 91 2017-07-18

2011 David Arthur Vineyards Three Acre Cabernet Sauvignon (blended with 11% petit verdot): Dark red-ruby. Dark berries, violet, menthol and bitter chocolate on the nose. Suave and pliant in the mouth, with a slightly musky coffee bean character to the dark fruit flavors. Nicely smooth 2011 cabernet with sweet, broad tannins and good length. Winemaker Nile Zacherle bottled the 2011 cabernets a few months early "to preserve intensity." He also did an abbreviated cold soak and a shorter, warmer fermentation. Vinous 90 2017-07-17
