Chardonnay Spring Mountain District |
Spicy and savory, this oak-and-mineral-driven chardonnay delivers flavors of bacon fat and hominy. It carries juicy, bold flavors into an austere, dry finish. Point it toward milk-braised veal. |

Twelve Clones Pinot Noir |
Brilliant red. Spice-accented raspberry and cherry accents along with hints of woodsmoke cola and Asian spices. Silky and energetic on the palate offering appealingly sweet red berry and floral pastille flavors that deepen slowly as the wine opens up. Fine-grained tannins lend shape to an impressively long mineral- and spice-laced finish that shows excellent clarity and repeating florality. |

Pinot Noir Double L Vineyard |
Vivid ruby-red. Smoke- and spice-tinged dark berry cola mocha and succulent floral aromas show excellent delineation and pick up a minerally nuance on the back half. Supple and concentrated on the palate offering intense red and dark berry flavors sharpened by a peppery nuance that gains strength on the back half. Finishes very long smooth and appealingly sweet with velvety tannins and lingering dark fruit notes. |

Cotes du Crow's |
Deep ruby. Aromas of cherry black currant and licorice are complicated by succulent floral and cracked pepper nuances. Dark berry and bitter chocolate flavors show good concentration and steadily become more energetic on the back half. The floral note recurs on a persistent gently tannic finish that displays impressive energy and spicy lift. |

Hentley Farm |
The Beauty |
Showing a bit more vibrance and intensity than the 2015, Hentley Farm's 2016 Shiraz The Beauty is a winning medley of raspberries and blueberries, all wrapped in a subtle oak blanket. It's full-bodied and spicy, showing a bit of exotic stone fruit on the palate, then fades slowly on a frame of dry, silky tannins. |

Clos Otto |
The 2015 Shiraz Clos Otto reveals more power and concentration than the silky 2014, but it retains a sense of elegance. There's a lifted, herbal element, exotic notes of dried spices and plenty of powerful red fruit to drive the wine home. Full-bodied and rich, this looks less approachable than the 2014 at the moment, but it's equally good in the medium to long term. |

The Beast |
The 2015 Shiraz The Beast looks to have the stuffing to go 20 years. Imagine a rich, deeply scented spice cake dotted with perfectly ripened black cherries, served in liquid yet savory form. Full-bodied, creamy and densely concentrated, this muscular offering picks up intriguing hints of pepper and licorice on the long, firmly tannic finish. Try after 2022. |

The Beauty |
Co-fermented with Viognier skins, the 2015 Shiraz The Beauty spent 16 months in about one-third new oak barrels. Scents of cola, blueberries and baking spices emerge on the nose, while the palate delivers silky cherry and raspberry fruit. It's full-bodied and supple, with a crisp finish and touches of mocha. |

Clos Otto |
The exceptional 2014 Shiraz Clos Otto weighs in under 15% alcohol. It's peppery on the nose, then adds cherry-raspberry fruit on the full-bodied, creamy-textured palate. Supple and rich but silky and long, it's a quintessential example of the paradox Barossa Shiraz can deliver, that sexy combination of strength and elegance. Wow. |
