2012 Bodega Rejadorada Sango Reserva A barnyard aroma is tempered by notes of coffee and baked berries. This is a rugged, old-school Toro, with scraping tannins and lemony acidity. Flavors of plum, lemon peel, tobacco and vanilla are deep and thorough. A burly finish with live-wire tannins and acidity keep this jacked-up Tempranillo on edge. Drink through 2026. 2013 Ramirez de la Piscina Reserva Seleccion This red shows good density, with a thick texture that carries plum, dried fig, dark chocolate and loamy earth flavors. Muscular tannins and balsamic acidity add to the structure. A bold wine, slightly rustic in character. Best from 2018 through 2028. 750 cases made. Wine Spectator 91 2019-05-22
2013 La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino Riserva A savory style, this displays leather, eucalyptus, soy and tobacco notes. Reveals an essence of sweet fruit as this builds to the finish, but feels dry in the end, with dusty tannins. Best from 2020 through 2033. 320 cases made. 150 cases imported. 2017 Le Cadeau Cote Est Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Sleek and refined, with vibrant raspberry and violet aromas and piquant cherry, black tea, and spice box flavors that build complexity toward snappy tannins. Drink now through 2026. Wine Spectator 92 2019-05-20
2017 Le Cadeau Diversite Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Tightly focused, with precise raspberry, orange peel and smoky forest floor accents that build tension toward broad shouldered tannins. Drink now through 2026. Wine Spectator 91 2019-05-20
2017 Cuarto Dominio Blancat Estate Parcel Selection Real concentration and elegance on the nose with pure notes of brambleberries, dark-jet licorice, earth, dark chocolate and vanilla. The palate shows exuberant fruit, but it's held together nicely by a tight wall of tannins and driven acidity. A bold style, but this pulls it off with real personality. Drink in 2020. 2018 Di Giovanna Vurria Nerello Mascalese Rosato DOC Nerello Mascalese makes great rosé, and Di Giovanna’s copper orange Rosato doesn’t disappoint. Sourced from estate vineyards in Contessa Entellina, this is a very attractive, floral rosé that reveals rose petals on the nose and flavors of blood orange and raspberry on a dry but expressive palate. It has a stony mineral like finish with lingering citrus notes. i-Wine Review 91 2019-05-13
2015 Di Giovanna Helios Rosso The Helios Rosso offers earthy aromas of plum and dried herbs and flavors that follow suit with attractive nuances of licorice and tobacco. Ready to drink now with gentle tannins and a softer structure than the 2014 vintage of this wine. A blend of 70% Nero d’Avola and 30% Syrah. i-Wine Review 91 2019-05-13
2016 Di Giovanna Siciliani Rosso IGP Terre Siciliane We love this Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot led red blend, and it’s an outstanding value! Showing dark cherry and smoky underbrush on the nose, the Rosso Riserva reveals medium plus density on the palate with plum, tobacco and notes of red fruit. Finishes dry with good persistence. Sourced from three high altitude vineyards in Sambuca di Sicilia. A blend of 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 15% Nero d’Avola, and 15% Syrah. i-Wine Review 91 2019-05-13
2018 Chateau de Pampelonne Legende Rose Cotes de Provence From one of the chateaus followed by the Saint-Tropez cooperative, this wine is ripe and rich. Its balance is impeccable, poised between the acidity, ripe red fruits, and a pinch of pepper. Drink from Late 2019. Wine Enthusiast 91 2019-05-09
