2019	Keenan	Merlot 'Mailbox Vineyard Reserve' Spring Mountain District	The 2019 Merlot Reserve Mailbox Vineyard is a powerful, savory wine. Dried herbs, lavender, spice, menthol and tobacco hit the palate, followed by searing tannins that lend quite a bit of presence. If the fruit emerge, the 2019 might merit a more optimistic review, but now, the 2019 is very tight and youthfully austere. It will be interesting to see what time brings.	Vinous	93		2022-01-10

It captures all the nuance Keenan fans expect, amplified by an extra kick of richness in the fruit. Inky red fruit, blood orange, mint, cinnamon, mocha and dried flowers lend notable complexity. 2020	Col Vetoraz	Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze	The 2020 Dry Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze Iulls you in with a nuanced yet remarkably pretty bouquet of dusty dried flowers, white smoke and peach skins. This soothes the palate with silken waves of ripe fruit and sweet spices, all nicely contrasted by vibrant acidity and pretty inner florals that amass toward the close. It’s pleasantly sweet and persistent, but also perfectly fresh, leaving you literally thirsting for more. Yet again, Col Vetoraz overdelivers with their dry Cartizze Prosecco. 2016	La Fiorita	Brunello di Montalcino Riserva	Crushed stone, exotic spices, roses and strawberries create an alluring bouquet as the 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva blossoms in the glass. It soothes with silky textures and dark ripe fruits, lifted by bright acidity and minty herbal tones. The tannic structure comes through in the finale, clenching the palate firm with youthful poise, while leaving hints of plum under an air of violet-tinged florals. 2016	Verbena	Brunello di Montalcino Riserva	The 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva opens to notes of cedar spice box, cloves, dusty dried florals and cherries. There’s a pliancy and inner sweetness here that soothes the palate, as mineral-tinged black fruits and hints of brown spice glide across its silky framework. Hints of tobacco, balsam herbs and dark, dark chocolate linger through the long and only lightly structured finale.
