Tasting Notes

At the urging of customers seeking an ideal beer for their end-of-year celebrations, Brasserie Dubuisson introduced Scaldis Noël in 1991 – it’s been hailed as one of the best winter ales in the world ever since. By combining caramel malts with carefully selected hops, this strong dark ale delivers a bouquet of fruity aromas wrapped in a beer dark ruby in color yet remains balanced like its namesake. When it comes to winter warmers, it’s hard to argue with nearly 30 years of near-universal praise.

The Scaldis Noël is full, rounded and beautifully dense.

It has a slightly bitter taste with an underlying sweetness, yielding to aromas of caramel and praline and rewards the drinker with a satisfyingly long finish.
