Grenache Blanc (Garnacha Blanc), Grenache Gris
Terrassous farms a total of 800 hectares of vineyards. The average age of the vines that go into their Rivesaltes is 25 years old. They are planted in limestone clay at elevations between 200m and 300m. Vines may be as old as 100 years but average 25 years.
Settling of the juice before fermentation under controlled temperatures (below 20°). Then the fermentation is stopped by the addition of pure wine alcohol (mutage).
Aged in seasoned oak barrels, without topping up.

Dark golden color. Intense and complex nose with notes of glazed fruits, dried plum and fig, mocha and gingerbread. The mouthfeel is luscious displaying layers of aromas in an amazing complexity. Enjoy with blue cheese, Christmas pudding, dark chocolate, or by itself as a digestif.
