Grapes are sourced from growers around the island who have longstanding relationships with H.M. Borges. Elevation range is between 100 - 800 meters above sea level.

Farming

Terroir

Volcanic and basaltic soils, with a clay texture, acids and rich in organic matter.

Vinification

Destemmed and pressed grapes. Fermentation is stopped on the second day with the addition of neutral vinous alcohol at 96% ABV.

Aging

Aged in "Estufagem Process" for 90 days followed by 3 years of aging in Brazilian Satin Wood Vats (Balseiros).
