Philip Schell, a Bordelais who arrived in Mendoza in 1998 as a business partner of the enoligist Michel Rolland, is today passionately running his own project:
“…sensitive to the nobility of the old vineyards at Lujan de Cuyo, I found there the raw material of the wines that I produce in a winery with which I share the same philosophy, a union of respect for the environment with tradition and the support of modern technology.
My challenge: to seek for the authentic expression of the terroir with its high qualitative potential; to take care of the grapes to get the characteristic flavor of the Mendocinian Malbec, its aromas and bouquet, which make it unique… I taste, combine samples, choose the proportions, change the assemblage, taste again… I also produce a fresh and fruity Chardonnay.”
