About Château Vieux Laroque

For four generations, since 1920, the Bertin family has been cultivating the vineyards of Vieux Laroque. This estate was originally built and managed by the monks of the Cistercian Abbey of Nerigean in the 19th century. Today, the vineyard is run by the fourth-generation owner, Marie-Ange Bertin, who took over from her father ten years ago. The term “Laroque,” which means “rock” in old French, imparts a chalky and mineral quality to the wines.
