The 2015 Trutina from Dunham is a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 10% Malbec, and the rest Cabernet Franc. It's another beautiful wine from this estate that over-delivers. Gorgeous crème de cassis, black raspberry, vanilla bean, and Asian spice notes all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, seamless, elegant beauty that has real class. While it's not a blockbuster, it just glides across the palate, has notable purity of fruit, and a great finish, all making it a terrific value, even at the roughly $30 price point.
